Dear Link,

Now that you have lost us the Bledisloe cup for another year can you please now pick the team you should have the start of the series. Starting players in their recognised positions would be a good start.

That is all..

Bean Brain, No team can beat the All Blacks on current form but one has to ask why Link has broken up the winning combinations the Aussies had going in the backs with the  Brumbies or Tahs, them winning the Super XV...already posted previously about the lack of synergy and disjointed nature of the Aussie backline...

...lot of Aussies also questioning Link's selections and whether he is actually the man for the job...is he but a puppet for the ARU the way he was forced to select Beale so he wouldn't leave rugby for league?

...then others are saying Deans has a lot to answer for - beating the ABs on occasion for starters. And beating the Boks and England a lot. Someone should call him to account...

...and then there's those that just think that Hooper is badly in need of a haircut....tragic the way he was schooled by McAwesome on Saturday night...the Aussie newspapers are calling it a massacre...

I saw Links interview yesterday and i think he was genuinely dumfounded. I had doubts from the start regarding White and Beale and exactly as Brycy said solid combinations were broken up. Last weeks draw lulled us into a false sense of security and it looked like our boys just thought if they went out there it would happen and we were put in our place by an awesome AB performance. Link owes me as I had to sit there with our towns biggest AB supporter for 80 of the most painful minutes of my life. So at half time I did what all Aussies do in a crisis and hit the bottle. General consensus in Oz is that Hoopers haircut is fine and we have much bigger issues to worry about. Now the Bok, Wallaby test should be interesting.

Claydog, it's being reported 'Ewen McKenzie is sharpening his axe" forecasting changes to the Wallabies side massacred by the All Blacks at Eden Park.

Injuries to hooker Nathan Charles and winger Pat McCabe will bring at least two new selections but more are in the offing following Saturday night's 50-21 drubbing... .

I agree with brycy for once - it was inevitable he would make a valid comment at some point.
As soon as Ewen made a few changes the abs were in trouble. Pity he got it wrong as he should really have been 2 nil up. Bit like the Boks experience against the Pumas. Meyer brought on his subs and it was game over. Both coaches will have learnt a lot.
Ozzies must ensure they give the smug abs a good whipping in the third Bledisloe game.
He has to find a lock to replace Carter. Start with Higenbottom. Phipps and Foley, Beale at inside centre. It's all so easy really. Speight will make a big difference. Once Ewen sorts his team out - and remember he is just at the beginging of his tenure - the wobblies will be beating the abs once again.Big thing Wobblies practise catching the ball. You gifted these hapless abs a lot of very soft tries when you were in a positi on to score yourself!!! Made them look good!

Beeno: I am sure the Ewe...n appreciates the improvement ideas you have given him as this will help him beat the Boks - they are next

That's assuming coaches learn from their mistakes of course, Beeno. Sometimes I wonder...

Yes Pakie pride and other things like even old riendship get in the way of objectivity. Hence meyer and matfiled - can also effect the most eminent of posters as well.
JW we would like the wobblies to make a game of it and start getting it right so they win the third Bledis low match - then all fair minded rugby folks would have to acknowledge  OZ as morally the holders of the cup.
Claydog we will soften up the wee abs for you so moenie worrie nie.  You will be able to field the Rebels against them and still win.
