The Chiefs conceded and were denied tries on the basis of two dubious video referee decisions.

Rennie says there's no way every forward pass will be seen, but it's unacceptable when they get multiple looks at an incident and get it wrong.

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has criticised the third match official (TMO) saying that poor decisions could easily have cost his team the match.

Rennnie Chiefs held on in Melbourne to beat the Rebels 33-39 as the hosts mounted a late surged that could have won them the match.

Super Rugby winning coach Rennie has questioned Australian TMO Steve Leszczynski denied fullback Gareth Anscombe a try in the closing minutes which would have put his team almost out of reach.

The TMO ruled that Chiefs replacement winger Patrick Osbourne had knocked on at a preceeding ruck before Anscombe got the ball and ran on to score what would have been his fourth try of the match.

The television replays were inconclusive which frustrated Rennie particularly as Leszczynski had cleared a try for the Rebels after a suspect pass from first five-eighth James O'Connor to fullback Kurtley Beale.

"I think the quality of the person sitting in the chair's important and you have a feel for the game and they need to have some common sense around some of their decisions," Rennie told Radio Sport.

"It feels like they're trying to work out how they can not give that try as opposed to the other way around."

Rennie said that he will ask Sanzar game manager Lyndon Bray, a former referee, for explantions on the TMO rulings.

"I struggled to see faults with Gareth's last try and there were a couple of other dodgy decisions earlier on."

"Our issues are ours. We've got a few things to sort out from a playing point of view but they (TMO decisions) could have such a massive bearing on the game."

a bent Aussie TMO? Surely not - reminds me of a certain Aussie TMO who awarded a certain 2007 RWC to a certain Team

Oh so you wouldn't have seen your team's shitty performance against the 13th place Force, or your conference leaders getting man-shamed by the Crusaders at home - seems like Australia's bitch like S15 performances may be sneaking back in...feel free to masturbate furiously over Folau's performance over the *cough* Kings, about the only positive you can take out of the weekend's rugby.

Folau is looking good .

Quade Cooper not so much .

Ugly stomping charge against the Reds captain too -

That's all nice and dandy but sidestepping the issue at hand though with the evidence that some refs in Oz are as bent  as yr boomerang cobba .

So maybe take the log out of yr own eye before looking at that speck in others or just shuddup altogether...

Still havent seen Reds game but seemed like fairly slow sort of affair as often case with local derby games v Aussie opponents... Acutally works in Reds favour for Crusaders to beat brumbies but shame they got a bonus point. I say bring back the stomp ESCPECIALLY FOR cheating kwiwis lying in the ruck and slowing down play... best way to sort them out and take bent refs out of the equation...  QC lacks a penetrating kick more of a 9iron this part of his game I would personally like to see him work on. BTW Poi-E obviously being FLOGGED consistently this year in SXV has hit a nerve.... haahahahahahahahahahahahaahahaha - anyway soon tide will turn on bent kwiw refs and ABs (this slide has already started v England).... hahahahaaha then lookout kiwi wives.... go get some helmets.....

Pedsman, you still haven't answered the question about your seriously bent and cheating TMO in the Rebels vs Chiefs game?

Await your bleating excuses.

All talk from the biggest grub on the board, Crusaders made the brumbies their prison play things, you can expect the same thing from the AB's...nothing new there, but also from the Lions.  Soft, bitch like forwards to complement the soft bitch like fans.
