...Cheika has named a fairly predictable squad for the June internationals downunder
first game June 9 in Brisbane
The Irish will be formidable after a clean sweep of the 6 Nations so shaping up to be some good rugby on offer in June...depending of course on whether the Aussies show up or not...Ireland will certainly have a major advantage in the forwards
Some hotly contested wing spots in the Aussie outside backs.so quite a log jam there.. a sign of the team's state of health perhaps when players like Naiyaravoro and Speight miss out on selection , Perese another pipped by Maddocks and Banks..
All the Aussie experts predicted Naiyaravoro would be a shoe in on the left wing- but obviously not up to it on defence or under the high ball ...his non selection is huge especially after a tug of war Cheika had with Fiji over him as well...Naiyaravoro s igning with a foreign club probably the final straw.
Some also saying Naiyaravoro's Tah teammate Fitzpatrick was expected to be in the mix as well.- but Cheika perhaps not wanting to appear biased towards his old club and pick too many Tahs
Plenty of claims of favouritism already with the inclusion of underperformrming Tahs players Hanigan, Phipps, Robertson and Simmons
