You carry on about Steyn , but his club must have good reason for not renewing his contract.   In the last Top 14 season Steyn - when he was selected - played at 15.  It is a fact that he is too slow to play in that position,   He is not a decisionmaker required at 10 and his execution is way below par.     

You claimed that he was good at flyhalf for the Sharks in 2014 - but there is zero real evidence supporting that' statement.   The stats I quoted under another heading support my statement that he is anything but good at flyhalf.

That is a pretty good stat. Fransie was a very good player...it would be fantastic if he still has the goods, but who knows?

We are not talking about the team performance,   We are talking about the shit performance of Fat Fransie,  The team did well despite him - not because of him.   That was very clear of ome see the number of possession losses and missed tackles of Steyn.

Note - ball  hogging  in evidence - he passed the ball  13 times, but make 15 kicks and carried the ball 10 times.  Lost ball possession 3 times and his defense was putrid - 9 tackles made and 6 missed.    

Brumbies

Note two things-   Steyn was ball hogging badly - in the whole game he passed the ball 8 times - kicked it 17 times and carried it 17 times,   This is detrimental when it comes to team performance

This is he game where Crotty fouled up the defense and ran about 40 meters with the ball.  However he was tackled and the Crusaders were on the back foot.   

Note   -    Steyn caused 4 ball possession losses and his defense was putrid - making 6 tackles and missing 3

He was poor in virtually all aspects of the games and the situation is that he has more of a negative impact on the team than a positive one,   NINE possession losses in three games became part of the record he achieved of most possession losses in any series in Super Rugby.  

Is that all that counts dimness?   Bad performances in all other aspects of the game and a player who neutralized he rest of the back line through ball hogging represents a shit performance by a flyhalf.   My deduction is 100% correct - Steyn was more of a liability for the team than an asset,
