That's all folks, B/Boks 41 -34 B/Blacks, Baby Boks take third place in the Junior World Cup Championship. I wont bother watching the final, but maybe Wales would win this one.

I watched ths start of the game and was appalled by -
* the absolutely atrocious line out performance of the SA side;
* the disastrous scrummaging - we were pushed off the ball; and
* the total lack of defence on display.
When the All Blacks Under 20's were 21-0 up - I decided to better watch Ernie Els trying to win the BMW international and only after that I switched back to rugby - to find the SA youngsters was ahead in points.
It really was surprising since the poor elements mentioned was still all over the show. I will now be forced to watch the game again.
However - if what they produced up front it is a bad omen for SA and it is no wonder that they did not make the finals.

Well done Baby Boks - those okes played their hearts out all tournament long and were unlucky to not be in the final. Immense accomplishment to come back from 21-0 down. You could see how much it meant to them after the NZ game, the captain's interview - they were still hugging each other 10 minutes after the final whistle. Nothing like the pride and satisfaction of representing your country well
Plenty of talent in all those U20 teams to keep rugby healthy for years to come.

Dispite the very poor scrum which ou maaaikie thinks he is the only one that has noticed (hahahahha) the baby Boks were unquestionably the best side at the tournament.
We all know that the baby Boks beat England and their bunnies new zealand. We all also know the baby Boks beat Wales but for the ref missing a knock on try!!!!
We should have been in the final - no question about it. What chances of england beating the BabyBoks - less than 50% for sure.
We can safely say without fear of valid contradiction - we wuz ROBBED!!!
I can only hope Becs will keep her composure, humilty etc and admit its was a fortuitous win for the lucky Poms.
As for the hapless kiwis I am looking forward to seeing the highlights tonight. Clearly the baby Boks were just too much fo them again.
Our being the real deserved winners of the WC should not blind us to scrumaging deficiencies. All efforts should be made to address this. Very embarassing for Dawie Theron.
Bobbok, Jake by now should be Sir Jake - did you see how he schooled Sir John and Sir Graham. Sir Clive was full of praise for Sir Jake - Knighted by SA Rugby fans - minus those two well known bleaters snapster and rooitwit!

Let me say that I do believe there were promising elements in the Under 20 team - but also some serious negatives. I was particularly impressed by the backline performance and also by individual prospects - but was not impressed at all by the scrumming and the line-outs performances.
Of the good prospects I think the following needs to be mentioned:-
Kolbe - very good in attacking play - but he was the main reason for the loss against the Welsh and is probablt better suited to 7's than the 15 man game.
Senatla and Obi - Excellent future prospects in both the 7.s and 15 man games
Swanepoel and Van Rensburg - Really good prospects. Van Rensburg really has star quality written all over him.
Du Plessis - Has the physique - but at times was disappointing in games and may end up in top selection, but has a long way to go.
The forwards really were not good enough and I would not say any of them would make the Springbok frame in future. Both flyhalfs used were really disappointing and I do not think Pollard will go much further in his career, May replace Morne Steyn at the Bulls - but nothing else. They have Fouche and he would remain their first choice flyhalf when Steyn is gone - so even there his career prospects are not at all bright. Did he make a mistake in signing with the Bulls??????

At u/20 level you can get away with a weaker scrum. But seeing our games went along the lines of sevens games and no defensive structures I would like for us to have more preperation in future tournaments. Especially more warm up games against stronger south african opposition before going into a JWC

What rubbish, you cant get away with a weaker scrum at any level. Theron selected poorly when it came to his tightfive and No8. The only forward with any substance was the impressive Jacques du Plessis who is a lock who played 7

I agree Snapster, quite apart from that knock on try awarded to wales and our own missed shots at goal. we got pinged at scrum time due to poor scrumming technique and Wales slotted the penalties. It was big wake up call.
Nz scrum wasnt that great and so it didnt Mayer as much as we were closer to parity from what I saw in the highlights I watched?
Obi scored a very nice try from the center position against baby blacks.

Saffex didn't we just finished 3rd with the shittest scrum in South African history. Where did the French get who monstered us upfront? Kiwi's got smashed last year in scrums by Wales where did they get oh they finished second? And note I said weaker not the shittiest scrum.
