Saffex
The weather conditions were very poor and it resulted in a number of errors on the part of the Baby Boks.
However, they are the top ranked side in the competition. The ranking is as follows:-
1 South Africa2 England3 Ireland4 New Zealand5 Australia6 France7 Wales8 Samoa9 Italy10 Argentina11 Fiji12 Scotland
Play-offs
The first step of the play-offs to determine the final rankings and determine who should qualify for next years WC to be played on Sunday will be played on Sunday as follows:-
Italy vs ScotlandArgentina vs FijiAustralia vs SamoaFrance vs Wales
Semi Finals
England vs IrelandSouth Africa vs New Zealand.
Both SA and England struggled in the conditions and England nearly lost against Argentina. SA struggled a bit and ended up with a rather difficult win - but that really showed fighting spirit on their part.
New Zealnd beat the Scots comprehensively and with ease. They had a different team line up today to the one who played SA and the players looked physically stronger than the players who played against SA on Friday. Although they really looked much better and fed off the many handing errors of the Scots - they still had problems in scrumming and line outs.
The key to beat New Zealand is to cut out handling errors and to hammer them up front. I think that that is likely what will happen on Sunday. I think SA will beat them again and will go through to the finals. Hope the weather is better than it was today - weather conditions are a great leveler in games and conditions like today will make results unpredictable.

Lets just hope Jessie Kriel will be ok for the semi - he took one to the jaw and will have failed the concussion test
