The sign of a poor coach really. His side against the Argies was meant to be his best side and now he has made 8 changes for the do or die match against the French. He keeps swapping the 10 and 15 each game......so no consistency there at all. He has dropped their two best backs in Hall at 9 and Mafuma on the wing.
Its an average squad, possibly the worst I have seen in the years I have watched this tournament, but then again I can say the same for the NZ, Oz and England squad.
The joke is, Theron said before the tournament that this was one of the most talented squads he had worked with and that we would be seeing a different brand of rugby from them. In effect what he was saying was that he had a bunch of lightweights on board who were going to run other sides off their feet.
Instead they have come up against physical players and seen their arses. I cant begin to imagine this side with qualify for the last 4. Good thing Theron is moving on the Japan but we know that the new coach will be anything but a merit one.
