Backline for Italy

Given our forwards have improved this year- the Boks should be able to win the Italy game. 
Our backline remains poor, so it is time to test some new players.
15. Coetzee/ Gelant

13. AM/ Jessie Kriel is not a centre. AM needs a game, and he is a specialist centre.

12. Pollard/ Francois Venter  Pollard cant kick for poles, he can't kick period.  He would be better becoming an inside centre. Francois Venter is poor, but at least he is a specialist.
10. Jantjies  Pole kicking has been reliable all season long.He will not be available for the Welsh test, so perhaps Coetzee will continue with Pollard in the Italian test.
11. GelantNeeds some game time somewhere.

Pollard nailed 6 kicks and missed none in the WC semi....that was kicking under pressure....he will get his mojo back. We can’t go back to Jantjies attacking from and defending 10 metres short of the advantage line.

That is true, I have seen Pollard do decent pole kicking in the past. However, I have never seen much of a territorial kicking game from him. 
I still think Pollard would be a better inside centre- because he is unlikely to become good at territorial kicking. 
If players are going to be played out of position, it should be for the sole reason of making a spot for a quality player.
Steph Dutoit is not a flank- but having him on the pitch is better than having a poor specialist. 
I would prefer a medium specialist- but a poor specialist is just as bad as having someone that is crap playing out of position like Jessie Kriel.

This is not 2015 anymore and things  have changed - some for the better, but others gpr the worse.   Pollard's kicking was inadequate yesterday - whether you like it or not.
