BAIL CONDITIONS RELAXED FOR KINGS PARK ‘KILLERS’ 07 JUN
The four men who beat UK rugby fan Brett Williams to death after a Sharks
match will only have to report once a week to their respective police stations.
Brothers Blayne and Kyle Shepard, Andries van der Merwe, and Dustin van Wyk were granted bail of R5,000 each on 8 April, and were required to report to their local police station twice a week.
On Friday, the case was postponed to 27 August for further investigation. Prosecutor Krishen Shah said some of the witnesses still needed to be interviewed and a decision still needed to be taken on whether the five would be prosecuted in the Durban
Regional Court or the KwaZulu-Natal High Court.
