Bakkies and Fury come good

The two  old stagers were in fine form. In fact the Boks lineout went south after Bakkies left. The Boks were unlucky on the two disallowed tries. I personally don't believe the Frog did anything but shift the all laterally on the Louw try....and I doubt the ball went forward on the Fury non try, but that was debatable. Then Louws silly card denied a strong finish.

Willie was our best back. But everybody did well. Morne made a few mistakes, but his kicking was clutch. Pienaar had a few mistakes but made a few good tackles.

Coenie  had a fine debut under difficult conditions...and the loosies were huge, as was Flip and of course Bakkies. TheBeast had a fine game.

At the end there was no timing between Strauss and his jumpers, but  it remained a dominating performance. And how did that Frog not get a yellow for the  elbow and Louw get one for a much less dangerous act?

Meyer is fully vindicated.

At least I look at what actually happened in a game and do not live in cloud cuckoo land.   First of all it was not Barnes who disallowed the "tries" - it was the TV ref.  Barnes had to accept his recommendation.   If you believe Fourie scored "a lovely try" you must also believe in the tooth fairy.   If Morne did not mishandle the ball - it could have been a try - but Fourie's contribution was just to dot the ball down - nothing else, since the work leading up to the "try" was done by De Villiers - who passed the ball to Fourie with no defenders in front of him - he only had to dot the ball down.

You are only tolerated because people are sorry for you being a complete idiot    But then anyone who believes Morne Steyn is a good flyhalf is an idiot - so lets leave it at that.

I am delighted by the Springbok win - but not necessarily delighted by the performances of the players who are always questionable.   Incidentally Alberts was  even worse in defence than he normally is.   This time around he made 9 tackles - missing 4.  If that is acceptable from a loosie - the tooth fairy is at it again.
