  • Cape Town - Sharks flyhalf Pat Lambie may yet feature in the latter parts of this year's Super Rugby competition.

The Springbok flyhalf was last month ruled out for the Super Rugby season with a torn biceps tendon sustained in his side's 23-19 loss to the Bulls in Pretoria.

However, according to Tuesday's Mercury, Lambie is responding well to treatment and could make a comeback before the playoffs in July.

Coach Jake White indicated they could have Lambie back for their last four or five games.

The Sharks are currently first on the overall log, having won seven out of their eight games played.

Meanwhile, the Sharks have also lost wing Tonderai Chavhanga, who limped off with a hamstring injury in last Saturday's 19-8 win over the Cheetahs.

He could be out for up to four weeks.

JP PietersenPaul Jordaan and Fred Zeilinga are all crocked with the same injury and will not be available for Friday night's match against the Highlanders.

Good news for the Sharks is that Odwa Ndugane could be ready for the clash against the Kiwis (19:10 kick-off).
