15 Melani Nanai, 14 Matt Faddes, 13 Seta Tamanivalu, 12 Richard Buckman, 11 Taqele Naiyaravoro, 10 Robert du Preez, 9 Andy Ellis, 1 Reggie Goodes, 2 Akker van der Merwe, 3 Paddy Ryan, 4 Martin Muller, 5 Michael Fatialofa, 6 Brad Shields, 7 Jordan Taufua, 8 Luke Whitelock

Replacements :

16 Andrew Ready, 17 Schalk van der Merwe, 18 Toby Smith, 19 Sam Carter, 20 Ruan Ackermann, 21 Nic Stirzaker, 22 Richard Mo’unga, 23 Luke Morahan

It is in one respect a funny team - Robert du Preez at flyhalf.   Where is Fat Fransie and Morne Steyn?   is it because the two has too limited a game plan ability?   If they cannot make the Babaas team - can they really make the grade as Springboks.

A finely drawn question, let me pose you another. If Goosen cant succeed at flyhalf against bottom of the log Bayonne getting Rolls Royce service from Machenaud....how could he succeed against the Poms or NZ?

Goosen playing out of position at 15 thanks to that idiot Coetzee still managed to end up being one our better backs.
His ONLY spot is 10 and a class 10 he is

Yep pure class at 10 against Bayonne....and he was not one of our better backs, that's why he was dropped. This guy has no chance at test 10 Dave he doesn't have a competitor's heart and he doesn't enjoy contact.

I saw the game had no issue with it at all. French club player of the year tells me exactly what he had to offer.
The notion he does not like contact is rubbish....that stems from his days where injury took its toll.....but the are long gone.
He was by far one of our best backs hell articles were written saying as much. He got dropped by the complete idiot who is Coetzee....for Lambie at 15....what a pathetic decision. One would swear Coetzee was the measure.
Fact is Goosen and Lambie should never have been selected at 15 as both are star 10's but we can't expect Coetzee to work that out now can we?

No that's such a complex proposition I'm sure it totally escaped everybody. Let me give you an alternative reality that has escaped you over all these years..... real competitors find a way to make their mark. I'll give you just one example BOD. Regardless of what team he played for and who he played against, who the coach was, what the tactics were....he made massive contributions game by game. So all these players who got their chance and flopped, you know the names, don't have a pass. They always had the opportunity be they prop or inside centre of outplaying their direct opponent. The troubling thing is they never did. So no, I may buy the coach argument at the team level....better coached teams clearly have a better chance to win. But it's never an excuse for an individul player to be outplayed.

Mozart always knows better - the Frnech rugby players know nothing, the newspaper knows nothing, the commentators knows nothing - the almighty Mozart knows everything,   He said that Goosen does not take contact and scoring of tries and making tries is nothing.

Is he speaking of Morne Steyn? Sure sounds like it.
Morne was his go to guy but that's changed. From Mozart's hero to a hopeless zero all in a matter of a week.
I can see why Mozart's done a 180 on previous posts.
Morne wasn't able to make his mark against the All Blacks ... even though we were told that he was a must against them. We all saw how that turned out.

We also saw the massif contributions he made to our defeat against he All Blacks. Lambie or even Goosen at 10 would have been a much better choice.

Most of the balls he received he ended up kicking aimlessly away which resulted in try after try. That was Morne contribution to a record whipping.
It seems he needs to be instructed to pass cause that aspect of his game doesn't come natural to him. I wonder if he even as one
He just doesn't have a competitors spirit. We all saw how that crumbled against the Ozzies. Couldn't even find touch and it cost us the match.
Throw in his fear of contact and how he leaves most matches with a clean pair of shorts and what we have is the very reason why he was dropped from the Bok squad.
Poor Morne ... no longer wanted by his biggest fan.

Now Morne's strongest supporter has switched his allegiance to Fat Fransie - without any regard to the performance record of Fat Fransie during the past 4 years.   Mozart is amazing - performance in a position counts for nothing - especially when the performance is non-existent or extremely poor.

I saw the game had no issue with it at all. French club player of the year tells me exactly what he had to offer.

Remind us how many games he played at 10 for Racing in 2015/6. He was rightfully the player of the year but not for his performances as a flyhalf.
In fact, he was not the French club player of the year. He was the Top14 Player of the year.
This article, translated from French, says it all. It is from the site Rugbyrama:
http://www.rugbyrama.fr/rugby/champions-cup/2016-2017/top-14-racing-92-johan-goosen-revient-avec-un-statut-de-star_sto5908288/story.shtml

CHAMPIONS CUP - Back from the Rugby Championship, Johan Goosen will immediately re-enter the Racing group. Newly elected best player of the last Top 14 by his peers, the South African étrennera versatile new status this season: to indéboulonnable of the Paris starting XV.

Barely off the plane coming from South Africa , Johan Goosen received on Monday at the Olympia the player of the year trophy at Dan Carter and Josua Tuisova . A consecration for the former Cheetahs arrived on tiptoe Racing in 2014. A confirmation, too, that it is not only good useful Swiss Army knife to overcome the absences.

It is now elevated to star and his coaches must make it a special place for his return: "It's not a puzzle, I wish I had earlier" , assures Laurent Labit . "We had to do with many absent players in recent weeks, as Chavancy, Laulala, Carter, Rokocoko, Thomas. This has taken us a lot of competitive opportunities. I also have players like Juan Imhoff Brice Dulin where we n ' has not been able to breathe " . With the return of Goosen, he will again this comfort.

If the player's status has changed, a question remains. At what position do you see as Johan Goosen this season?

"The field is so wide with him I could make the play on the wing, I'm sure it would be one of the best wingers in the club" , says Labit. "When you have a player of this caliber, we can consider all possibilities. the best for me was to position the rear but it also bothered me not to be able to put together Brice Dulin and him. I also know very well that this is someone who has a future opening but today in the management of games, good for putting the team back on track, it is essential to play Dan Carter. that means 'Goos' can spend 10 during the match and it becomes very interesting. Finally, my experience of having placed second center was a great success. it means that I can also position it 13 when he comes back " .

This is also in this position he floated late last season, where he more than contributed to the achievement of the Brennus Shield.

Number 13 in the "line of perfect three-fourths"

Springbok back during the last Rugby Championship, Goosen ensures not claim anything:"No matter where I play actually If the team needs me in 10, 13 or 15, I'll play where it will play the position.. center is quite new to me but I learn a lot of boys like Henry Chavancy or Casey Laulala. it's a challenge to be effective in that position and it is also nice "

It is anyway whe re it should be expressed in the major events this season because, as we told her coach Laurent Labit: "If I have all my players available and fit, it is obvious that 'Goos' in my mind, between more today number 13 in my line of ideal three-quarters " .

Then what has Goosen to do with the game on Saturday - his club will not release him for that game since it is not a test.
Your normal standard comments on Goosen is a repeat of what you wrote earlier - nothing new about it.

I have yet to see Dumb Ass win any argument or discussion against anyone . . . and his next meaningful sporting contribution to this forum will be his first.

Whatever you say about ou Maaik, I don't think anyone questions his passion for rugby or his interest in sport. Dumb Ass on the other hand is only here to squeal, whine and point his trembling finger. Don't think he even cares about sport . . . and we know for a fact he hasn't got the first clue about it!

Ceradunce - the stupid - and I had numerous arguments on rugby issues.   He is Mozart first ass creeper on the site and goes beserk about anything necessary being wrotten about Morne and Fat Fransie Steyn, Alberts  or Matfield.
The arguments started off when the dunce claimed that there is no obligation on clubs to release players for the Rugby Championship - since the RC is not covered by the test window.
Since then the arguments mostly related to Meyer as coach - another hero of both Mozart ad the Dunce - as well as the players mentioned.

You just don't learn do you.

Look at the Cubs thread...... another classic example of your hypocrisy and morbid stupidity.

It's not even a challenge proving how dumb you are, your assistance in providing all the evidence to prove it all the time is just overwhelming.

Please be a good bud now and at least make it interesting.... I'm really asking nicely here

I'm talking about his credential as a player which Moz had him down as some softie.

In my opinion he is a flyhalf and only a flyhalf......much like with Lambie

I would NEVER play them anywhere but at 10 as they are not physical enough for fullback or centre.

To be French club player of the year, you have to be a pretty handy player......but we can rely on Moz missing this very fact

I have yet to see ceradunce coming up with any real and merit-based discusssions on rugby players.   He has been so stupid - it is impossible to see any real points he made without realizing that one is dealing with a supreme idiot.
It is advisable to steer clear of Mozart and his side-kicks who thinks they know better than the rest of the world does.

No Mozart - a hundred other cases as well.    Your battles against certain rugby players you are prejudiced against and attacks on cricket players and other sportsmen is notorious.
Whenever a player is a threat against your favoured players - he is demonized by you and names changed and nicknames given to demean them, irrespective of whether they do well in accordance with media reports and comments by people in the know.
