You can almost picture the gin-sodden old IRB suits as they discussed the Barbarians vs Fiji game . . .
"I say . . . hic . . . what if there's a clash of colours?"
"Well the Barbarians wear black and white, what . . . hic . . . do the Fijians wear?"
"Ummmm . . . black and white I think."
"Jolly good, so that's sorted then . . . no need for anyone to wear an alternative strip. That's the end of the meeting then . . . let's go get pissed!
"Good idea! Hic . . ."
I mean, really!

Fijian forwards have si ze etc but look pap. While Beast and Bissie were on the field the scrum was going backwards at a frightening rate.rooitwit they asked Fiji to play to celebrate the Fijians 100th anniversary in rugby. Got it?

Poi-e, Baboon-ou seldom understands what's being discussed . . . but it's never stopped him from joining debates.
Just laugh at the stupid clown. That's about all he's good for.

Fact remains, Baboon-ou, Poi-e is on the button. You didn't have the foggiest clue what was being discussed and your utterly irrelevant comment proves that . . . but you felt the need to say something anyway!

Cloudy I did watch the game who else did is uncertain. Of course given their population Fiji are outstanding but heck their forwards given size etc do disappoint and after 100 years still cant scrum. I thought Willie was the best back on the field and is must for any world 15.What I also noted is that Schalk played 80 minutes and got better as the game went on. His offload to Jean was great.Beast and Bissie had the Fiji going back at the rate of notts but when replaced but some oak at loosehead and mealamu that grunt was lost.
Very glad no injuries and that Fiji played a pretty clean game. Are the islanders abandoning their thuggery. However Samoa think have historically been the biggest thugs so the jury is still out.Fijian sevens side is very good and we need to pacy loosies to switch from super15 to sevens. That would sort the team.

Mike Lambie was good. His misss at goal were close no duffers. Le Roux has to be about the most dangerous back in world ruby and commands aplace in a world 15.
Clo udy if they need to knwo about forward play is South Africa they need to come to. Their problem is a lack of grunt so nz cant help them.

CleverMike: NZ can teach total forward play, ie 8 forwards working as a unit. As you know it's not just about the tight five.
Part of the prob with Fijian rugby is the love they loose play & to change the mindset to appreciate the tight play is a real challenge . Argentina love the tight five play , another example of the culture & it's impact on how the nation plays the game.
