Barret gets two week ban from SANZR judicary

Blues flanker Kane Barrett has received a two-week ban for two separate stomping incidents in their 26-16 Super Rugby loss to the Chiefs at Eden Park on Saturday night.

Barrett pleaded guilty to both incidents, one he was shown a red card for in the 22nd minute and another two minutes earlier for which he was later cited by the SANZR judicary.

Barrett was sent off when his boot was ruled to have made contact with Chiefs captain Craig Clarke's head, yet the judiciary deemed the earlier incident to be the more dangerous.

The ban means he will be out of action until August 1, leaving him free to captain Taranaki when the ITM Cup gets underway on August 15.

hmmmmm, so contact was made with the head.

im sure the locals will still find a way to blame pollock for the bulls losing No1 spot though.
