The BBC has apologised for an extremely embarrassing teamsheet gaffe involving Welsh lock Jake Ball.

Ahead of Wales' nail-biting Test loss to the Wallabies at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday (NZT), the Scarlets forward was listed as 'Jake Ballsack' on the BBC Sport website.

Wales second-five Jamie Roberts spotted the error before publishing an image of the teamsheet on his Twitter account.

I played Superbru at one stage, the name I used was Balsak as they started to hang.

Maybe he has the same problem?

We have a Sri Lankan in our cricket team whose nick name is sack. Every ball he bowls some one calls out, great ball sack.
