Cloudy, Fiji look unstoppable. It was fast giants against slower little men when they met SA in the final. Geduld is so poor defensively that I would not play him purely based on that.
A good big guy will always beat a good small guy over the course of a game and when the bigger guys are actually faster, you have no chance. Yeah, it looked "respectable" in the final as we managed 3 tries but we were still 24-0 down at one stage so how much of that was Fiji actually taking their finger off the pulse?
They were relentless against NZL and I think NZL went pretty close to 14 mins without touching the ball. Fiji just played the perfect game against NZL and a lot went for them. Not saying NZL would have beaten them but I cant see Fiji going 44-0 again.They have always been great exponents of 7's but it seems now, Ben Ryan was the missing piece of the puzle. He seems to have taught them that their flair and pace is not enough when they are spent after 10 mins. You have to play 14 mins in this game (or 20 in the final as you saw with SA making a late comeback) or you will come unstuck and Fiji often lost because they were not fit enough. Skill, size and pace was never in doubt. Seems they have the fitness now and based on this weekend, I wonder if anyone will stop them.
Maybe Becs has more insight for us but I doubt that..She honestly thought England thrashed SA because they played well ;-)

Blitzbokke have as much pace but too many in the side were too small. Put in guys like say, Kan kan, Spies, Deon Fourie as your forwards and we could win this.

Becs, save the dribble. Please remind us how England has it over us. That was your words. You asked me if it was so hard just to admit that England had it over us..I told you that England lost the day before and would not beat SA in normal circumstances and you accused me of squealing.
