Contrary to some, I thought Bekker was terrific out there yesterday:

Six runs for 50 metres. Ten tackles with only one miss....numbers a certain young loosie would have liked. But there is one glaring stat. Andries took one lineout!
Actually Etzebeth also only gathered one lineout.....the work horse and I suppose surprise packet, was Elstadt with7. Obviously a planned tactic.
But with the tallest man in world rugby opposing a height challenged pairing, why was Andries not raring to go in the lineouts? Matfield called himself time and again and delivered.....often with those beautiful take and redirect balls which landed perfectly in the scrummie's hands while the opposing locks were still going up.
Bekker needs to step into Victor's shoes at lineout time.....Kruger is not going to give us lock dominance. Bekker could, but he has to call his own number!
