Belated congrats to the Lions . . .

I wasn't around much this last weekend so didn't get a chance to congratulate the Lions on humiliating the Hapless Stompies in their own back yard.

It was a convincing victory and would have been even more crushing if the ref had been a bit more consistent with his disciplinary rulings.

Favourite moment of the match for me was watching the lumbering oaf Etzebeth show his only bit of pace for the whole match to run 30 metres just to get involved in an off-the-ball scuffle that had sweet stuff-all to do with him and to see Ruan Ackermann wipe that stupid "I are so tough and what kan you laaik to do about it" grin off his face .

Yeah ... thanks ... it was a great match which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Two of our top players went off early due to injury ... plus a yellow card ... some eye gouging and dirty play from Etzebeth and Kolisi ... and we still scored 4 trys to 1.

Kriel was acquited and he's available for this weekends match.

The scrum that followed the Eben incident was my highlight of the match.

Still i hope the Stormers rip it up abroad and get a few wins over there.

Lions will be clear conference winners this year, just like last year.

The Boks won't play anything like the Lions and won't seem a fraction of the team Akkerman's lads are.

At the end of the international season we'll again be asking ourselves why we didn't just give the Lions all Bok jerseys...like we should have done last year. Would have beaten all but the ABs had we have done that. Sometimes it is that simple.
