Ben Smith is rested and ready to rejoin an All Blacks backline that's becoming increasingly difficult to select.
It must be fun being Ian Foster right now as he ponders the sort of questions other international coaches can only dream of.
Does he start Dan Carter, Aaron Cruden or Beauden Barrett at first five-eighth? Does he pair Sonny Bill-Williams and Conrad Smith in the midfield, or stick with up-and-comer Malakai Fekitoa at No 12?
And where do form backs like Charles Piutau and Ryan Crotty fit in the equation, if at all?
Not surprisingly, it was an upbeat Foster who described how star wing Ben Smith was looking after an enforced three-week rest period.
"It has been a great break for him ... He is ready to rock and roll," Foster said ahead of this weekend's test against England at Twickenham.'
"He was run down and fighting a bug. He is a high volume player, I think he played just about every minute for the Highlanders and us last year and he was heading towards that path this year.
"We just felt we had to draw a line in the sand. The thing with Ben is that he still wanted to play and he was still capable of playing, but he wasn't going to play at the level he can in that condition."
Smith had lost about 5kg during the All Blacks' epic match against South Africa in Johannesburg and the decision was made to leave him out of the subsequent matches against Australia and the United States of America.
In his absence, Piutau has shone on the wing, first in a cameo against the Wallabies in Brisbane, then during the rout of the Americans in Chicago.
So stacked are Foster's resources, it's difficult to see the in-form Aucklander making the test squad this week.
A back three of Israel Dagg, Julian Savea and Smith, seems most likely.
But of most interest will be whether Carter is pitched back into the top flight after one brief cameo comeback from a leg injury against the US Eagles, and whether he will be paired with Williams.
It's a mouthwatering 10-12 combination, and one that, when everyone's fit, may well be the current front runner in a theoretical World Cup scenario.
Fekitoa had a couple of shaky moments in Brisbane and would have enormous impact value if part of a bench along with halfback TJ Perenara and fullback/first five eighth Beauden Barrett.
Then again, the All Blacks backs would lose little regardless of which combinations they go for right now.
