I do fear for the Sharks. Can their second team beat the chiefies and the travel. All things being equal I would back a full strength Sharks side with no travel effecst and a neutral ref to beat the Chiefs. But under the circumstances its a tall order. I don't think anybody should comment too much until all the facts have come out in this case. Without condoning violence against women (if indeed that is who he assaulted) the fact that he is still playing and hasn't been stood down by the NZRU suggests there may be a chance this could be blown out of of proportion by the media, however that said clearly the NZRU is not doing enough to support/educate some of these younger players who often come from lower socio-economic backgrounds who struggle to deal with the money/fame/attention that comes with their occupation.
Beating up a woman is the most cowardly thing a man can do! Simple! As poi-e has already said, wait for the details of the case, but if he did hit a woman, regardless of why, then I am 100% behind allblacknblue! One Were Worriors springs to mind here.
I once dated a woman who had the ability to permanetly piss off everyone around her, myself included. She managed to fight with everybody she met, car guards, family, friends, strangers, cashiers etc etc. At one point she managed to get me so angry that I felt like attacking her, but I went one better, I broke up with her and that was the end of her reign of terror. It is always a choice!
