After perfecting the shoulder charge with minimum use of the arms NRL Club the Sydney Rabbitohs have offered 29yr old Bismark Duplessis a lucrative contract saying “we definitely need players with skills like that.”
Rabbitohs coach Michael McGuire said Duplessis would make an excellent convert and he wondered why more SA players didn’t play league as they would excel in the more physical game that rugby league provides. “We need more South Africans playing Rugby League he said “as they could bring a lot of passion and aggression to the game.”
He denies the assertion that rugby league is a thugs game played by gentleman as being the reason for approaching Duplessis.
McGuire sees targeting rugby union players as fair game siting the recent conversion of of Benji Marshall and Israel Folau to the rival code. “Why can’t we target them he said ? They’re helping themselves to a lot of our best players with Sonny Bill also rumored to be switching codes”
Bismark Duplessis could not be reached for a comment as he is currently facing the SANZAR judiciary today with a posible suspension looking likely after a dangerous elbow to the throat of All Black Liam Messam.
