Bit of Bordeaux / Bulls anyone?

I'll watch a bit and see if it gets interesting.

First minute has shades of Boks/France 2023 as Bordie starts with a bang. 5m lineout.

Willie picks up a bouncy cross but there was an advantage to Bord. Would have loved to see if Willie could go all the way there, think it might have killed him if he did.

Le Beep Beep over, pretty easily manufactured. Lots of layers to this Bord attack, Bulls might be in for a long afternoon.

Bulls not having the patience to build anything, two kicks that just gave away possession.

Bulls go blow for blow, some really nice direct running, Ludwig in the corner. Pollard again from the touchline. 14-14

Bordies over again, they're just going to check. Ball looks grounded before touch but it might also have been dropped. Try stands. Jellybear shows he is no Pollard with the boot, 19-14. Bulls now right back with a 5m lineout after a Rudolph turnover penalty.

Pollard with a change of direction, brilliant half break through a double tackle and offload to Akker for the try. Boy's still got some magic in him. 21-19 Bulls

Quite an enjoyable game, all action and pretty high quality rugby.

Bulls scrum giving them a solid platform. Still a little prone to kicking the ball away in attacking positions.

Willie runs a line into a gap but Pollard's pass just can't find him.

Seb gets it in space and Jellybear hunts him down, either Seb is not as quick as we thought or Jellybear is simply a speed merchant. Bulls score anyway off the next phase. 33-22, Bulls killing it. Half time, fine game of rugby. You boys are missing out if you're not watching.

Bulls have been a bit iffy under Ackers, but I have to say in this game, with the help of Pollard's steadying hand, they're looking like a side starting to get it together.

Borries starting with a bang again. Stupid by Kriel sticking his hand out for a pass, yellow. There wasn't that much pressure, not necessary for desperate measures.

Good defensive pressure by Bulls on the Borries backline, Penaud knocks.

Bulls hanging on by the skin of their teeth, great defense a man down against nearly a full French backline.

Held up over the line again, Bulls showing some real mongrel.

Big break by Rayasi though opens the Bulls up and they can't stop the eventual try. Damn New Zealander putting the Frogs back in the game. 33-27.

Pollard off, same yellow as Kriel. Bulls not making it easy on themselves. Down to 13 until next break in play, which comes quickly fortunately for them. Kriel back on.

Held up over the line again. It's been all Borries this half but the Bulls somehow keep salvaging and salvaging.

Great touchline tackle Van Heerden on Depoortere. Lots of hustling from the Bulls.

Bulls win a penalty, surely kick for poles to run out the yellow and a possible 3. Kriel will do so. Off the upright, meh.

A familiar name in Rohan Janse van Rensburg on for Borries.

Great scrum Bulls, Wilco Louw making his presence felt. Kick through, carried over, 5m scrum. They need another one like the last one.

All went wrong for the Bulls, Pollard's pass to Willie didn't work, Bulls going backward, then a weak kick away by Pollard. They'll need to go again.

Jellybear in. Bulls might have thrown this away with those two yellows, they've barely been in it in the second half. Twice sticking a hand out for a pass they had no hope of catching, just stupid stuff. 41-33 Borries.

Gonna be difficult getting back into this game.

Moodie magic again as he breaks out of the 22 beating his man but the Bulls offloads go astray and Borries has probably scored at the other end. Looked grounded short but the try stands. All over for the Bulls, what an implosion. 46-33

That's 24-0 in the second half for Borries.

Man, Moodie is such a superstar yet the ball barely ever gets to him.

If Bulls can score quickly off this lineout they have a small chance. Yet another lineout loss as the ball is overthrown. That's pretty much it.

All over. Stop sticking your hands out for passes you can't catch boys, you know it's a yellow every time.
