Ex Keo

Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder is still fuming over Bryce Lawrence’s poor performance in Christchurch last Saturday. (tut tut a few calls go against blackadder and he is fuming! Where was blackadder when they made brycy nz ref ofthe year for services rendered at WC?)

New Zealand’s 2011 Referee of the Year failed to penalise Julian Savea for obstructing Tom Taylor, who was attempting to tackle Conrad Smith, which allowed the Hurricanes centre to score. Canes lock Jeremy Thrush was also in Luke Romano’s way in the lead-up to Smith’s second try just before half-time.

‘To me [Smith's first try] was not a try,’ said Blackadder. ‘If there was a TMO like rugby league, they wouldn’t have allowed it.(Exactly so and that is why Todd we here inSA who are well aware of nz refs capabilities, shall we say, are trialing some new things re the TMO)

Even the second one [was dubious], when they had a guy in our defensive line as obstruction (One coul dweep at the injustice o fit all eh Todd!). But we weren’t quite on song and put our hands up and took responsibility for what wasn’t a very accurate performance.’ (Unlike an outstanding performace by the Boks in the WC against Oz but who were denied at every turn by your beloved bycy or suddenly not so beloved right now - brycy mad eover 40 errors tha tmatch almos tall agaisnt the Boks)

The Hurricanes’ 23-22 win brought them back into play-off contention and all but ended the Crusaders’ hopes of winning the New Zealand conference.

So sad blub blub. A few call went agains the crusties, Also how about when the Stormers played you twits and were blown out of the match for offsides by Pollack I think it was. How about that Toddles.

Hey brycy isn't it time you changed your posting name - its getting blacker by the day!

Bluebok the whole thing really ticks me off. Not only was he shocking at the world cup, perhaps the worst reffing display ever,  but that nz had the affrontrary to name him as their ref of the year!!!!! Its truly astounding.

There was a lot of surprising decisions by Bryce Lawrence in the game that should have been penalized and in fact was not penalized - like vinward scrumming - not in a direct line.   He was inconsistent in his reffing of line out throws and in the first half it seesm as if he was partisan in favour of the Crusaders and in teh second the Hurricanes - no consistency at all.

By the way aftter Blackadder's comments - I watched a reply of the game - and wondered how anyone could bugger up a game of rugby like Lawrence did.   Was he in fact reffing an important game - or was he smoking dope before the game - he definitely was not all there - neither all here for that matter.

Just two issues - he missed a forward pass going at least two meters forward - and he was in the way and had to award a scrum.

No wonder Bryce was removed from the IRB panel - should ref only primary school games - that one.   Hope there is not a special pla to let him ref one of the play off games - but I think Blackadder would put a stop to that one.

One more thing -  being named "Referee of the year" - must have being the joke of 2011  - what else cn you say about this idiot?

What I am pushing out where I sit - that is what he is.

Brycy

If your sex life - since you talk about sex in your posting - is as bad as Bryce Lawrence's refereeing - then I think you will evolve what nobody has achieved in human history - namely to f#ck yourself.    One thing is for sure - Bryce Lawrence will NOT referee any of the play off games  involving SA Teams - they would not accept a primary school referee in important games

Now lets get this straight - if the Crusaders beat the Chiefs in the next game - and it is indeed likely - the Chiefs will be off the top of the combined log and if they succeed in winning the semi - also doubtful - they will have to travel to Newlands to play in the finals and that would be a massacre for them.   A full Stormers team will play ping-pong with them.

Putting my house on the Chiefs would never happen - I would not give them a 5% chance to beat the Stormers - home or away in the finals.  Watch out - what happened in the Junior World Cup Final will be mild to what they would be in for.

10 out of 10 for your outstanding post Mike. how embarrasing for nz to be found out like this re bryce lawrence.

Ou brycy unfortunately only gets 1 out of10 for his post. the 1 is for trying!!

Mike our beating the Chiefs are any other side in the playoffs dependes on our getting outr players fit. A depleted side cant win thsi.A full strenght stormers outfit can.

I am afraid the chiefies think the trophy is allready in the cabinet. Get ready for a huge downer from them come Saturday.

The canes are unlikely to make the playoffs as the sharks will beat the Bulle.

Dismal times ahead for brycy and the boys!
