Thanks Denny, life has been rather hectic in MiddleEarth delaying my return but hopefully later this year or early next .....  hoping to stay for at least 6 months . Samosas, no problem, last trip found a corner cafe in Sea Point & the samosas were magnificent. Roti & bobotie too .

Enjoyed the BoKaap clip  ..... what a gorgeous place to call home.

Found a samosa place in Athlone....naah, ordinary. Wifey makes the best Bobotie ever and Sydney has some top class Indian restaurants so no problems there but the samosas over here are different to the crusty pastry of the ones we have in the Cape. I'll try the Sea Point place......nothing like Indian, my favourite cuisine.

The "Seven Penguins" Cafe in Simon's Town sells decent samosas. They are on the left just before you exit the town towards Cape Point...and you can buy fresh snoek or geelstert off the boat at Miller's Point...if you are lucky, but it is lank kaaak when the wind blows

Would have passed "Seven Penguins" on my last visit, wish I'd known...used to buy fresh snoek at Kalk Bay harbor straight off the boat...….do you know if that's still possible? $A20(R200)  for a whole one.......and Mr the lady would scream at me, it costs R10 to clean!!!!

To give you an idea, Atlantic Salmon and Barramundi sell for around $40/kg in Sydney.

Blobbie, forgot to tell you, do you remember Wellington Fruitgrowers located across the road from the Parade? Well that is now a curry restaurant stretching from one end of the street to the other end. Very popular, and although they claim to cook fresh the curry is pretty bland.
