Blues beat the Lions

The Lions got beaten by the worst NZ team in Super Rugby - that shows how really poor this Lions side really is.   Congratulations to the Blues team though - they thoroughly deserve the win.

 I am fine - but am worried.   Cape Town has been hit by the worst storm in decades and there has been widespread damage,   The whole town is out of electricity as a result.   Bad news that one - I had to get the generator operational and could only watch the last 15 minutes of the game.     

As predicted the Lions are useless.  
Also, New Zealand has so much depth, they could field 4-5 test teams that could make the top 10 teams in the world.
This could be the last British & Irish Lions tour. They are going to go home with their tails between their legs like crying Kitty Cats.
When they play the Crusadersl, things could get really ugly

Anyone have any idea how strong that Lions side was they fielded, I dont follow NH rugby at all so these names dont mean a lot. 
I hope like hell it was only at 50% of their full test stregnth otherwise they are going to get slaughtered

 Liins tradition would only have fringe and second choice test players in the mid week side...and some experimental sellections. A bigger worry was last Saturday's match. They are normally slow out of the box at the start if the tour. Things will get better as the tour comes along, but they probably won't win any of the test matches...hoping they will at least be competitive in a fe w.

I'm intrigued as to the bookies' odds for Saturday's encounter with the Crusaders as I was stunned by the generous $2.90 on offer for a Blues victory ..... someone's going to get his butt kicked . I always felt that it could be a 50/50 encounter .

 
Very disappointing I must say.

Even their 2nd stringers should have cleaned up the useless Blues by 20pts.

Looks like the spectacle we've all been looking forward to could crash and burn before it's even got started.

 ...yea,  i think that was just their midweek B team...with the exception of a few players including Itoje and Stander....not looking good for the Lions though, they're looking burnt out after a long season...gunna get roasted badly by the UK press after that loss.....easy money at the TAB if you're betting on the Kiwi SR teams by the looks.... and funny how some bright sparks were only just last week demanding the Blues be dropped from Super Rugby - come in Bean Brain you dopey Trum panzee..

 Brycy, the form of the team being dropped from SR has got nothing to with deciding which teams should be axed...well not nothing, but it weighs less than other obscure factors...

Finances part of the cuts. Not performance tbh I'll be going to one of the Lions games. When they face the Canes in Welly. They'll improved but o can't see them winning any of the tests. Theirs a distinct chance they'll lose to the Crusaders too this Saturday Night. Just thought they looked too one dimensional. No variation. Blues 14 offloads to 3 summed it up. Warren Ball? Yep.

 Great win to the Blues, SBW and West were the stars at the end. The Lions jumping around for a turnover ball nek minute Blues score... Again, the Lions think they're the shizz in the forward pack, this was the Blues forward pack wait until they meet the Crusaders. The Crus will be amping for their piece of this outfit.
Sorry but the Lions had their easy games to try and build momentum... It just gets darker and darker here on in for the Lions. The Crusaders, the Highlanders then the Maori ABs next the Chiefs.... Finally after all that they face the All Blacks, good luck B&I Lions your going to need it!! The Fans will be flocking to see their SR teams smash the cream of the NH especially after this wicked win. Great job Blues, the Blues franchise has earned some serious credit in New Zealand tonight.

Couldn't watch the game, but I reckon there is some serious panic setting in in the Lions change room right now . NZ rugby is so strong at the moment it is actually scary. The rest of the rugby world just aren't on the same level...hell, they are barely even playing the same game. 

 Congrats to the Blues & their patient fans! Just watched the game and it was only flashy in parts (SBW, West Lauatua had good games), mainly a grinding game. This makes the win for the Blues even sweeter as they ground out a win.  
Hope the Lions c an produce more than this. Maybe they are holding some secret plays in reserve

 I hope things improve where you are Mikey ,those generators are great when the time comes eh ? Yeah Brycy drop the Blues ? Who did what the Wallabies manged only once from 3 attempts 4 years ago ?Egg meet some faces eh ?
