We have two black players here, Kolisi and Tendai. In my opinion Beast is more deserving of the honour. Firstly, he is our premier loosehead and one of the greatest servants of Bok rugby. I find it strange that Rassie felt the need to select Kolisi as captain in the first place when Beast was freely available.

Aside from these two, there is Eben. Of course, he is being targeted by our untermensch politicos. However, he has the most natural aura of authority. We saw this in Wellington last year when he rallied the troops before kick-off. We've seen it many a time.

If the Boks do win the final, there will never have been a less deserving captain. It would be quite remarkable. The narrative surrounding him will be blown out of proportion. That when we have black men such as Beast who have given so much more. That's quite a tragic scenario.

Vermeulen seems to do a lot of the talking. But I'm also puzzled  about the  Beast never being considered if we wanted to go the Kolisi route....he seems articulate and thoughtful.

But why not just appoint the natural leader, the players know who he is.

Beast has never lead so it’s not about being deserving. He is clearly not a leader Kitshoff is our premier loosehead anyway Kolisi is the correct call

Thor is another. Not my first choice, but a far better choice than King Quotas.

Based on current form Beast would have been a better choice as captain, as there is not much between him and Kitshoff.
Kolisi is a good rugby player, but it is important to have at least 2 loose forwards that can compete on the ground. It would also free up Vermuelen to do play a bit wider if there was another loosie at the breakdown to compete.

I would sub Kolisi in the 45th minute, given he has to be selected for transformation objectives.

I wonder if the politicians would accept that. There was a lot of fuss last year when Rassie subbed Kolisi in ordinary games. A world cup final? It could get ugly!

Form has nothing to do with it. You are either a leader or you are not. Clearly Beast is not as I don’t recall him ever captaining the Sharks for a start

It may have something to do with the following from Beast when he briefly captained the Sharks. Paraphrasing...

"You're penalising us to make it even because you gave them a yellow card."

Anyone remember that?

Aside from the arm band, Kolisi has never been leader either. He looks lost when he stands by the ref. He looks like a little boy listening in on adults, scarcely understanding anything they say. No presence, no production, no communication, no control. Simply nothing.

Beast captained the Sharks a few times but it might have something to do with him being from Zim and not having the same  "pull on the heart strings" story of a kid from the townships Kolisi.

When and where? I've reviewed these tests very closely. Kolisi is no leader. Not even much of a loose forward. In another country, he'd be a squad member you saw little of.

Fat chance ever having a whitey again. Gotta be the fairytale of the boy who had cups for hands eventualy when fishing for "opportunities" he got a job as Bokkies captain and everyone lived happily ever after... except for the lilly whites who now work on plantations. You herd it here first coming to a cinema near you... and we'll have it shoved down our throats over here!! Actualy... thats not so funny afterall!! Fucking libtards ruin everything for me!

Just wondering when the hordes are going to overrun the rugby top brass and change the Webb Ellis Cup to something more suited to their liking.

NO Winners Cup would be well suited to how things have turned out.

Suggestions.
