The Cheetahs have a number of players who can be considered for Bok squad selection.

Trevor, Strauss and Coenie. Coenie more as a loosehead as again he struggled at tighthead against the Reds. The 125 kg lock De jager and if you want a powerful no nonsense grinder the 120 kg Lictoring Landman.Man this guy was very good when coming on against the Reds

A man to seriously think about given Vermuelen's injury is the 110 kg Phillip van der Walt. No show pony this and does his work as a number 8 unlike suspies. Obviously the very hardworking Labuschagne at 105 kg could be considered - a far more skilfful player than Marcell Coetzee.Brussouw tries hard but without enough effect so should not be considered.

Van Zyl at scumhalf should get a nod. No to Ebersohn and a very BIG NO re to Rhule. This guy is getting more skittish by the match and should not be allowed near a Bok side. The Cheetahs website gives him at a measlie 83 kg and hence his inability to compete.Willie must crack a Bok squad.

Sadie also is showing nothing indicating he may in future become a Bok.

Congrats to Elgar Watts on a very solid debut.

Great win by the Cheetahs!

Struggled at tighthead, are you stupid. The Cheetahs scrum dominated with Coenie at tighthead. Wake up you fool

Coenie was fantastic throughout, have to agree with Saffex. Brussouw was also a star performer so I'm quite baffled as to how you've come to that conclusion as its rather stupid but I have some hint as an idea with your obsession with weight and size. Rhule is looking out of place now, we're going to struggle with wings when Habana is finished!

Shez, Beenkop is one thick plank. He does not rate Brussouw as he weighs 102kg........but at the same time he thinks Fourie is the answer at 6 weighing 100kg, go figure. Brussouw was our star loosie this weekend. Coenie dominated at 1 and 3

Dont worry about the ramblings of Saffex - we all know he is clueless about player performance evaluation, because he sees one incident in games and that makes the whole issue clear to him.   He plainly suffers from selective memory - that is where you can be sure that if he says one thing - believe the opposite.

I do believe Coeni had a very good game and so did De Jager - he really is an impressive youngster.   The problem of Saffex is the players worth in a team is determined by his weight.   So forget about that one as well.

I do think the two loosies of the weknd was Labuschagne and Brussow and at no 8 Van der Walt..  Labuschagne's value is also enhanced by the fact tha he regularly takes line out balls as well - but that has not been noticed by Sffex- that type of thing is more than he can grasp.   Just one thing - when Drotske commented before the game against the Hurricanes - he mentioned that he is worried because Labuschagne's line out work will be missed by the Cheetahs and that in fact happend during the game

Van der Walt constantly perform better than Spies in games and he is a cleverer player as well.

But there is one problem here - Cheetah players are not candidates for selection - because they do not have Blue Bull contracts - so the only players to be remotely considered by Meyer woud be Strauss an Coeni - the rest will be ignored.

When you cannot make sensible responses to comments - you turn to personal insults.   So we all know you cannot support your arguments with facts and insults are the only means open to write baloney on this Board.  Come now - point out with facts why you say things on this Board - the insult methhod does not work and is like water on a ducks back.

Once you give examples of outstanding performances by players and support your arguments and do not generalize based on your observations - often a figment of your imagination -there can really be a debate of value on this Board.   I am open to changng my mind on performances - but then argements must be based on merit and not on some vahue match recollections by you.

DomMike, talk us through some of your observations, starting by telling us why you think Labascagne was better than Brussouw and Coetzee.........and better still why you think Jantjies was so poor. Take you time dambass and when you are done, I'll take all of 2 minutes to counter your ignorant shit Get on with it loser

Saffex

Easy to see through observation of the game.  He made nearly twice the number of tackles made by Brussow - even though he is a blindisder and brussow is nearer to the place where the game is moving to.  He made more meters in ball carrying than brussow did.  He took line out balls - thus helping his team in that respect.  The same argument with Coetzee as well.

Please explain to me - if a player makes moretackles in a game - is more effective ain ball carrying - do positive things other players do not do - how come the other players are better than the one who clearly did more.  No cursing and insults - just explain to me how your logic work in such cases.

I said in a larter response after the game and viewing the game again - that Jantjies had an average game - nothing to write home about and better than his atrocious performances earlier this year.   Still not a player fit to play on Super 15 level - and definitely NOT Springbok material.

Oh my oath how thick are you? So are you saying that because Labascagne made more tackles, that Brussouw was possibly shying away from that responsibility. How do you work out that a 6 is nearer to where the game is moving, whatever the fuck that is? Would this be your call at scrum time, huh? And how often do flanks make tackles from scrums or what of those scrums that are not close to touch? So do your more metres gained provide context, what if one of Labascagnes runs was 40m unopposed huh? Brussouw was better than Labascagne as he contributed more positively where is counted. He played a great linking role, carried the ball well and was ultimately the best SA loosie of the weekend. This is based on watching the game, nothing else. I don't rely on stats at all, they provide no context. How many more times must I tell your stupid arse this very fact. Soak it up and take it in you thick prick

Saffex

When did I say that Brussow was shying away from making tackles?   What a load of crap - I nver implied that at all - must be another figment of a diluted brain.   Now let me ask you a question?   Why is a six binging on the side of the scrum further away from the sideline?  Becaue it is virtually certain that the opensider is nearer to the area where the ball is going to than a blindsider.   Does that answer your stupid question.   In open play itis the better reader of the game that would make more tacjkles than other loosies.

Let me explain something to you - and that is that Labuschagne is a very good reader of games - he is where the ball is being carried to and can effect the tackles.   Have you not heard comments that he has the highest tackle count of any player in Super 15?   That accounts for the highest number of tackles in Super 15 ths year.

Generally Brussow passed the ball six times and carried it 5 times.   Now for the shocker that you have not seen - Labushagne passed the ball  7  times and carried the ball 10 times.   You believe that Brussow's passing game was better - but was it in reality the case?

By the way - did defence not count at all?   So it is not a positive?   I know what to make out of your watching a game - you never see what actually happens 80% of the game and then base your assumpotions on what you saw.   I also observe things because I watch them carefully - not like you whose comments on games can always be taken with a pinch of salt.

Brussouw put Piet Van Zyl in space to score his second try. I do agree with the fact that Labuschagne is the best 7 in SA and want to see him in the green and gold. I am not a fan of Coetzee as he's not really a specialist and is kind of a donkey.

Cheetahs played well - Reds off their game a fair bit (not as much as stormers though...) but did have numerous chances to be competitive... Genia lost the plot about 65mins and had a shocker - bad passing cost try with QC ruled forward pass cause took it above his head - missed touch with penalty kick.

Bottom line Cheetahs defense was excellent and credit to them - only Aussie tema havent played this season is brumbies and have managed the clean sweep.... whereas kiwis lost to just about all except for when their refs win it for them.....hahahahaha... cheats.....!

Coenie had a fantastic game. Re the scrummaging aspect he was going great guns at loosehead but stuggled a bit again at tighthead. The dopey ou snapster of course never noticed.

You see snapster Drotske and Oz ,both former Bok front rowers, know Coenie's better postion is loosehead and hence they start him there to get max value.

At the moment the Bok props are , Beast, Coenie and Malherbe and Jannie.

Re Jannie he is being better managed this year. Expect him to raise his game further when his boet Bismark starts playing again.

Beeno correcting the hapless snapster yet again, Wake up dopey!!!!

Now why do I go for Deon Fourie rather than Brussouw well because he is the better athlete and more creative, Considerably faster than brussouw and has the abilty to drive the ball up using his low centre of gravity. Can run like a back and is ferociously competitive. More skilled than Brussouw and not surprsingly Currie Cup player of the year. Unfortuantely Vermuelen and Elsatdt were injured so he got on with the grunt work and earned plaudits from the Oz commentators for the huge effort he put in. Unnoticed by the snoozing snapster.

So no more yapping on the subject  please airheads!!!

Another nail in the coffin for ou snapter was the oz commentators saying how well Bosman had played this year. Bhahahahahahahaha

The only conclusion one can reach is that snapsters form as a selector this year has taken a dive and he has been bog ordinary and downright piss poor!

Now snapster engage that lonely braincell before attempting any answers I beg of you - if you can hear me under all that egg!

I was rather surprised by the good perormances of Bosman this year at 12.   Despite the fact that he was only in the starting line-up as from the time Steyn was dropped after the game against the Brumbies - Bosman played very well and is at this stage - despite the much fewer games he started in - rated by Foxsport as the fourth best center in Super 15.   That resulted from solid defence and being good in attack.

Although not a test side candidate by any accounts - he was way better than the prejudicial Saffex rated him.   I always said Saffex rating of players must be taken with a bagful of salt.  He rates his pedestalled players as good - the rest are always rubbsish.

Mike helping snapster understand the game is a marathon not a sprint so one keeps going!

The one exception I might make to my list could be Ebersohn.

In my view Meyer has a lot  of decisions to make and many of them relate to younger players being ready or not.

Wrong Beenkop, Os wants Coenie to play 3 and has gone on record saying as much. The reason Coenie has been starting at 1 is that Nkanyane had an injury and is only now getting back to full fitness. Also Adriaanse has been doing a good job at 3 for the Cheetahs, so it would be unfair to drop him.

Open your blind eyes, Coenie has been equally good at scrum time be it at 1 or 3 and that is a fact. Coenie is gradually being turned into a tighthead and rightly so as this is where we need him for the Boks. We need him, Bismark, Strauss and Beast making up our frontrow, with Malherbe, Nkayane and Kitshoff as back-ups.

DomMike, try again, Bosman has been an insult at 12, much like your pinup boy Jordaan at 13. Wake up you thick prick
