I've notice a few stand out young players during this years currie cup and wanted to get your take.

I know Saffex is going to rattle of 80 players now, but just wanted to see what you guys think  of these kids and who would you pick as future starts that would fill our 25 man squad. So far for me I think  the following players are worth looking out for.

Players need to be under 23

Jan Hendrik Wessels - Playing at Hooker, still equally devastating in the loose at senior level, converted to Hooker from Loosehead

Elrich Louw - Seems like has been around for ages, but another mobile big seven

Evan Roos - Break out player this season, in the Mould of Duanne, hard player, but got a good running game for an 8

Henco Van Wyk - Plays at 13, Other than some amazing hand offs and a great try breaking the line, seems a lot has been written up about him.

I'd add prop Ntuthuko Mchunu and lock JJ van der Mescht, both from the Sharks and both 22 years old.

JJ van der Mescht has been released by the sharks, he wasn't showing any improvement or discipline in his training or diet

Evan scored 2 tries last night...bit lighter than Duane, but a bit more agile too...AND he looks strong like an ox...I need to watch more rugby...been missing a lot of matches this year.

Even Roos was also the only standout player for WP against the Lions. Hope to see more of him in the new European comp

Yes we all can agree that many young player are showing potential but with the present system in place with regards quotas talent is of secondary importance.

Many younger players will be overlooked and will find fame and fortune overseas.

Unfortunately.

Agreed with those youngsters Henko v Wyk has huge raps - saying he is the new Danie Gerber I’d add the following James Mollentze of the Lions - best inside centre prospect I have seen in years. Unfortunately injured at the moment Janko Swanepoel the Bulls lock Vincent Tshituka the super talented flanker from the Lions Dylan Richardson of the Sharks. This guy is brilliant plays mostly at 6 but also 2 Nohamba the Sharks 9 and Hendrikse who has already made his Bok debut Rickus Pretorious the WP and Baby Boks inside centre Moerat the WP lock Angelo Davids the WP wing
