Youngsters that are making the right impressions on the field. Players that are able to get the better of their opponents. Meyer needs to wake up to the fact that its time to move on and embrace our talented youth.

We have enough experience in JP, Frans, Hougaard, Beast, Bismark, A. Strauss, Bekker and Brussouw to form the core.......this core needs to be surrounded by players on the up like Lambie, Mvovo, Jordaan, Taute, JJ, Serfontein, Goosen, Jantjies, v/Zyl, Kitshoff, Coenie, Chiliboy, Etzebeth, Steph du Toit, Elstadt, Kolisi and Coetzee........with a number of other youngsters quite capable of being added to this list

I agree with you 100% on the issue - but for a few names that you mentioned.   Jantjies is a definite no-no - he is pathetic.    Chilliboy can only be given furrther opportunties if he can learn how to throw balls into line - outs.   After 50 games for the Bulls - that is unlikely to happen.

The performance of both the Bulls and the Stormers was pathetic and I have written about it previosuly.   I could never imagine that De Villiers could be really as bad as he was today.    But he will not be replaced by Meyer before the end of the year.

Strauss - you really must be kidding - you forget about Vermeulen and Alberts in your core group - are you suffering from loss of memory?    I think that Meyer would never play Brussow - with Coetzee around - too much of a penalty risk that one - so he is also a no-no.

Its A.Strauss Mike........Alberts is possibly an option given how good he was against England, but he does tend to blow hot and cold and is getting on now.

Vermeulen is an option but lets see how he performs on his return.

Josh Strauss is a def option as I am a big fan

Jantjies walks my group of youngsters

Sorry my friend - but Jantjies is one player we would never agree upon.   I think he is pathetic in execution - maybe in theory acceptable.   Alberts is 28 and has another three years of good rugby in him.    I would never pick Joss Strauss ahead of him.

As a person who support younger players - do you really think that Meyer should replace Marcel Coetzee with Brussow?

The only thing about youngsters, especially those with limited super15 and senior bok experience is that we have not seen what their weaknesses are- and they have not yet had a bad game yet at the highest level because they have not yet played at that level.

Look at someone like Victor Matfield- the most capped Springbok of all time. Matfield had so many critics- but yet no one may ever go on to get as many test caps as him. We often criticise the incumbent players, and support the younger until they have a bad game and then the whole cycle begins again.

As soon as the established players have a bad game we want the younger player to come in, and again and again, and again. I thought aStraus was useless in the series against England. Lots of hype but I saw him deliver nothing. I would have rather had John Smit on the bench- if he had enough years in him to make it to the next world cup. Jordaan took major crticism in his first match for the Sharks in the Super15 and may not even make the starting xv at present. Playing sport in an age division is far easier to excel than in the open division.

Mike Brussouw is 25 and I am not saying he should be ahead of Coetzee, no way in hell. Coetzee is a must to start for the Boks, but he can play 6, 7 or 8.

Blue, half my side would contain experienced players and that excludes Lambie who in reality has had a good few tests now.......for the rest, the youngsters I mention are better than the likes of Kirchner, Habana, Aplon, Jean, Olivier, Morne, Werner Kruger, Jeandre Kruger, Flip, Spies and J.Potgieter that were used in the English series.

If we are to move on and challenge Oz and NZ, these players are not the answer

Now there's a joke after rabidly supporting the very ordinary Flip Flop, Kircher, Werner Kruger, Olivier, Spies and Potgieter......you now want to replace them with a bunch of children.

Dave you have no clue....none whatsoever.

There are some promising youngsters. Lambie is already established. Coetzee has shown he belongs. Etzebeth needs to do more. Goosen needs to get well and show us what he can do in tight games. The rest need to provide a whole lot more evidence of their ability to step up. But this weekend Jantjies, Kitshoff, Kolisi , Elstadt, Steph du Toit, Mvovo and Chili showed they have miles to go.

Bismarck made Chili look like a schoolboy get real.

No Moz, you miss my point. I said the youngsters are better......ie Etzebeth is better than Flip - that does not mean I dont rate Flip.......same with Kirchner, Lambie is better etc. Everyone of the young players have nothing more to prove regarding potential and all represent our future and need to be included now ahead of has beens or never beens like Aplon, Jean, Morne and co - failing which we dont have a hope in hell of competing against Oz and NZ.......the match 22's Meyer selected against England are not good enough to take on NZ, Meyer needs to take the bold step and invest in our new generation of talented players

Some loonies say make all the bulle bokke snapters says make all the under 21 bokke and now. Please understand snapster some of these youngsters need to find themselves at lessor levels of the game first. Some  will not make it.

Players need to PROVE themsleves. Doing well at juniour level is only one step on the way snapster. Will ou snapster ever get this basic point.
