Best of an average weekend from the SA sides:

15. Ludik - the rest of the fullbacks were piss poor

14. JP - although he did very little

13. Serfontein (he was on the field for 10min and broke a tackle the first time he received the ball) Jean, Jordaan, Sadie and Mapoe were either poor or showed nothing with ball in hand.

12. Frans

11. Mvovo - the best SA wing of the weekend

10. Morne (yes - please take note, I have selected him!!)

9. Hougaard

1. Beast

2. Strauss

3. Jannie

4. Flip

5. Bekker

6. Kolisi

7. Deysel

8. A.Botha (was the best SA loosie on display despite playing 6 for the Bulls)

I would differ slightly.

13 - Jordaan (He looked like he was ready to take off but the game unfortunately never reached that point. It sort of just meandered along but Jordaan was looking the goods."

12 - De Villiers (I am a Steyn promoter but lets face it, another below par game by his standards. Starting to miss Whitehead about now! We lack the attacking punch without Whitehead)

9 - Reinach (Hell even Sarel Pretorius in a team that got crunched looked better than Hougaard)

8 - Kankowski (Solid performance and like Jordaan, looked to want to break out a few times. Seems he picked up where he left off last season!)

Saffex

I am sure you suffer from a brain implosion.  your team is real crap.

I qould say that the following players do not deserve to be anywhere near the team of the week:-

*    Serfontein - playing for five minutes -  you really must be kidding.   Jordaan was starved of the ball by Steyn and on each of the three times he got the ball showed something extra.  He was far better than his opposite number and Sadie did show nothing.

*    Steyn was bad crashballing all the time - he ran over Earl Silky Hands  Jantjies once and got tackled a meter further - dieing with the ball like is his nomal.  No one oither than you regard that as a line break of significance.  The only real line break by a center yesterday was De Allende - who outplayed Steyn in every facet of the game.   There is a choice here between Olivier and De Allende - but the line break makes a difference and I would say De Allende.

*    Hougaard is a no-no.   He was subbed at halftime because he was so poor,   Vermaak was much better than him.

*   Kolisi was passed the ball once and made three meters before he was  tackled.  For the rest of the game he was invisible.   There is really no reason for his selection at all.

Boklogic you are speaking complete and utter crap. Jordaan did absolutely nothing and to say he should be selected because he was ready to take off is laughable. The guy as much as I am a fan, has been a massive disappointment and if this it to be his defining year, he is fast painting himself out of the picture.

He needs to do something fast, failing which he will find himself on the bench when Whitehead returns.

So bright spark, what did Jean do this weekend, to merit him playing ahead of Frans at 12.

You have confirmed your rugby ignorance with your comment regarding Pretorious, only a complete idiot would just say what you have and exposed yourself in the process. Pretorious was a disaster, the guy has the worst scrummie service in the game - the very reason he never made the Tahs starting side last year.

Kankowski was disappointing, the only thing he did was drop a ball. Vermeulen, v/d Walt and Spies were better and I am a Kankowski fan

Yeah Boklog, you really do know your rugby - Sarel Pretorious bwhaaaahaaaa.

A little quote on Sarel - live and learn 'After looking good in the first half, the Cheetahs loose forwards seemed to have run out of steam, while the backline was terrible to say the least. Sarel Pretorius had the exact opposite effect on the game as he had against the Sharks last week, with his poor passing and decision making costing the Cheetahs plenty of possession.'
