Heyneke Meyer has selected Pat Lambie as starting fullback in an experienced side to take on Wales this Saturday.

 One of the best teams we have seen this year..Suppose it good to get Lambie on somewhere but I wana see him specialise at 10. I suppose Meyer is expecting tough NH conditions where the more accurate goal kicking boot of Steyn could pull you through. Lambie has been a bit of a lottery off the tee of late but I suspect if things are going well, Morne may be pulled sometime in the 2nd half with Lambie shifting to 10 and Le Roux slotting in at the back. Those are two changes I think Meyer will hope to invest in, in the coming years although he feels strongly that Le Roux is a better sub than starter.

Van Der Merwe at lock is alright in the NH. He is strong and wont give an inch. Steph Du Toit will come into his own soon enough and expect him to be a starter by the RC next year.

Engelbrecht on the bench?? Meh...see how he goes. Dont use him if we dont have to.

All in all, its a more solid team than we have seen at some stages this year.

Welsh are not going to be easy and in many respects, I feel the most nervous about this game of our 3 on tour for some reason. I think French have identified the AB's as the one they gona throw everything at and keep the trend of being their bogey team going and the Welsh have done the same with the Boks.

Lets hope that Morne does not do to the Springboks what he did in the Super 15 semi-final to the Bulls with his 50% success rate.   I do not trust Morne when he is in a tight situation and must take a kick at goal.   Unless the kick is straight in front of the polls and less  than 30 meters - he is bound to miss.    He is probably the greatest liability in that team.

I hope Alberts does not let players get past him by poor tackle  attempts - beaus Morne will be badly exposed and miss as per normal 50% of his tackles. 

I do not like the look of the 2011 backline Meyer put together.   They were virtually  unable to score tries against stronger opposition and they had the same tendency in both 2010 and 2011- what will make it different now??????????? 

 Big mistake not starting with Le Roux on the wing. He has far more flair than Pietersen and far more likely to create something from nothing.

Will be interesting to see if Fourie still has what it takes at this level after a couple of years in Japan. Also, why did Meyer select Bakkies in the squad if he's not even on the bench in probably the toughest game on tour? Bizzarre decision in my view; if you are going to include a player in the squad and not play him then the only reason you would do this is for the player to gain experience in the Bok team atmosphere and I don't think Bakkies is in need of that!
