Bok side vs AB’s
Not all the picks I would have made but I'm v ery pleased to see Fassi getting the nod ahead of Willie and Sacha ahead of Pollard.
So do I. Du Toit an extemely valuable player ad he haas shown that at lock he did nt lose his ball sense and still playes wider out as well.
Insifar as he abckline si concerned I thought Willie's role will be limied in future - he is n the squad as a mentor and will serve as that role in future, The aim is apparently to keep him in th squad - but he wll not play after he got his 100th cap.
Pity about Etzebeth not being available and hope he comes in afte irther training tomorrow. He wll probably repace Van Staden or Wiese. Du Toit is a magic player - he will be part of the ball-in-hand game irrespective of whether he plays a lock or at 7. By far the best loose forward SA ever had. .
Are we going to have Kwagga as an impact lock?
3 loose forwards on the bench, with no locks. Certainly looks like a team that is expecting Eztebeth to be fit. Kolisi will get a short outing if it is actually 3 loose forwards.
Back to a 6/2 split. I would have dropped van Staaden, and put Willie Leroux on the bench if needed.
