The side is being announced tomorrow but a few articles on FB have the following side: 15. Willemse 14. Kolbe 13. Kriel 12. Esterhuizen 11. Arendse 10. Libbok 9. Faf 1. du Toit 2. Dweba 3. Nyakane 4. Etzebeth 5. RG Snyman 6. v Staaden 7. PSDT 8. Wiese 16. Marx 17. Kitshoff 18. Koch 19. Lood 20. Mostert 21. Kwagga 22. Williams 23. Willie Would have been a perfect opportunity to cap the impressive Bulls loosehead Gerhard Steenkamp off the bench

I agree Steenkamp would be great, imagine having him and Thomas the tank as your front row along with Marx. But then again, Ox, Bongi and Trev also played fantastic against the lion, but that was 2 years ago. Neither are fit or in form at the moment.

But I also read that the coaching team want to give all players in the squad 200 min of play time. Not sure if that number is relevant, making the same mistake as Meyer. Premeditated selections. We might slip against the Argies like Meyer and that pretty much will be our World Cup chances.

I definitely sense that we don't have the same focus or purpose we had last time around.

Wonder how Kriel Will perform? Dweba to start instead of Marx, maybe not such a wise choice…. ARG is no slouch in the scrum department and its important we win….Hope Rassie,s get,s it right this time.

Mistakes as Meyer? The only mistakes Meyer made were all defended by you people. Best not speak of Meyer as that will only further the embarrassment. After last weekend's shambolic postings that is already sky high.

Is it important to win in the grand scheme of things? Not really. The RC is meaningless. It is far more important to show some tangible improvement. All we have shown is that our core players are not thriving, are going backward, and we have more questions than answers for most positions. These are the things we need to be working on.

Quite an exciting backline. Powerful lose trio and locks. Front row not our best but should do the job. Is Nyankanye fit?

Big hope is that RG gets good game time and com es through unscathed.

Not sure what the position is with Nyakane as we have not seen him feature for ages and the last time we did he was off the pace At 34 I suspect he is done

Probably a quota issue. Anyhow no place to hide in a test.

Ja, the more I look at how the stalwarts performed, some have completely slipped in terms of where they use to be. They are only there because of reputation and "The know the system". Mostert, Kwagga, Dud, Faf and even Willie were either flops or below the standard we expect of them and have been for some time.

None of us really know how well they are performing as we do not see enough games of them. I have no clue how well these guys are playing, especially in Japan or in France.

Still get a lot of news out of the UK hence why I can speak for the Du preez brothers, Esterhuizen etc.

But if all these players were in SA, we could at least verify during derby matches who is the best and who performs the best in the league.

So somewhere SA rugby will have to tell players that if they go abroad, it will be very unlikely that they would get picked.

So I do believe there should be a cut off point, think Marx might be drifting into that area. But rumour has it that PSDT is heading back to Cape Town.

I have no problem with older players or even younger players going abroad, maybe if it is for 2 years while they build up their careers, and then another 2 years later on in their career.

But if you in the bok mix, you should stay in SA. So if Roos were to head off now, I wouldn't want to pick him for SA at this stage, but if he got 50 caps or even 30 or for what ever reason lost form, I would encourage him to go abroad for a few seasons and try again.

Goosen nearly cracked it, but a spate of injuries and a serious dip in form has cost him his place. Had he regained his form, he would be in my World Cup squad.
