It's clear that Meyer is going to play Louw, Alberts and Vermuelen as the loosies which is to slow for comfort.

We also see the return of Fourie Du Preez who has been selected over Reinach which is wrong.

The return of Guthro is also displeasing.

 Van Zyl is going to replace Du Preez when he leaves the squad as he can only play a part of the RC. Du Toit is still injured as well as Malherbe!

Yes some disappointing selections but injuries are partly to blame for this. Meyer obviously doesnt like throwing to many youngsters into RC. 

Some injured players may come back and some like Reinach can stake a claim in the Currie Cup. S

Nice to see de Jongh stIll in the mix. He had an injury plagued S15, and some disappointing games. But he certainly bested JJ a few weeks back.

 Rather have seen Allende selected! To me JJ is a much better bet. Still a bit raw but getting there.

 Both Lappies and Arno Botha are around 103kg, judging by Botha's performances against Italy alongside Spies and against Parisse and co, he played superbly. Lappies will have the same effect with his incredible workrate.

We need a mobile Loosie as Flouw isn't the fastest and Vermualen is pretty slow, Alberts plays well against the NH teams which don't play expansive rugby as he is an especially physical player but against our Kiwi and Aussie cousins he is rendered useless as he doesn't make 'bonecrunching' tackles and doesn't carry well.

JJ is nearly test proven, Juan De Jong is proven useless.

Proven  useless? Hmmmm? But still good enough to beat the Sharks twice and win the CC. Still good enough to be picked by the national selectors. And good enough to beat JJ a few times, while taking down the Bool with no problems.

Hasn't proven himself a formidable outside center in the super 15, JJ has. 13 isn't a position we are blessed with at the moment, he also fits the quota. Nah, didn't beat JJ at all and didn't did anything of notice against the Bulls. De Jong has the pleasure of having De Villiers inside of him who has been on fire this year, Jan Serfontein has done the same to JJ but on a lesser scale, JJ impressed me even when he had Wynand Olivier next to him.

On the contrary on 3 separate occasions JJ had help bringing down de Jongh.....and Juan beat him up the left hand touchline, only to be partially stopped by Ndungane, after which JJ got back to make the tackle. These are facts.

 First of all JJ was covering Frans Venters defence deficiencies in that match as well as holding his part of the line, but you continue to mention these occurrences even though Saffex has countered your lies.

 still do not think that JJ is the 100% answer at 13 well not until he proves he is a world class tackler and will not be thrown around! i still think he is just a flashy wing that has a good step and some pace but i do like how he does bring that extra pace to the centre pairing! only time will tell how he can cope with the big dogs in the RC

Sorry Moz there is no way in hell de Jongh ever got the better of JJ, one little side step that amounted to nothing as JJ caught him with ease anyway.

JJ is twice the centre de Jongh is and the experiment with de Jongh as a test candidate has to end - he will NEVER be a test centre for the simple reason that he is far too small to make an impact. It would have made far more sense bringing in de Allende as a squad player with the likes of JJ, Serfontein and Jean being the test picks.

de Jongh is going nowhere, there is something positive about de Allende.......logic dictates that he should be in the squad.

jj is a million times better then de jong, but i still rate de jong and think hes a decent player,a any spXV franchise would be lucky to have someone like him, but at international level, there are plenty who are better.
