The backs look dangerous, aside from $onny Bill Will.i.aint. He has been dreadful for New Zealand. I think Barrett at 15 and Cowabunga at 10 is a good call. Overall, as you say, a very potent backline. We'll have to defend better. First up tackles. I think our pack is better. I think our bench is a tick better. 

Pity about Mostert though - he is physically not competitive in the Tight 5.   But then they have du Toit t 7 who strengthen the team comprehensively since he is excellent as a loosie adding value to the Tight 5 also.

The AB loosie selection is weird.  Read is a rugby history test book case - no good over the past year already and Todd ahead of Ardie Savea is a joke.   Frizell is a class act and the only loosie without hang-ups.  For a change I agree with AO on SBW - same case as Read.    Whitelock is a very near to  Read case as well. 

I would have thought a back row of Frizell at 6, Savea at 7 and Akira Ioane at 8 would have been too much for the Springboks to handle.

I agree with you in 2014 and 2015 Whitelock took a number of Springbok throw-ins from Matfield and that was not easy to do.   However, he is not as sharp as he used to be in that department as well.    

I used to have Whitelock as a banker in my Fantasy teams - but over the past two years I avoided  him like a plague.   Not worth having at all - since his all-round performances were not what it used to be.
