Not a bad team given the injuries and what has transpired recently. Not sure what Deon Fourie offer than having 3 loose forwards on the bench again. But at least no Duane. I see Esterhuizen made the bench which is good news. Nice to see Elrigh there but would have like to see him start, although, can come off the bench and build more experience

Good to see Esterhuizen and Elrigh Louw on the bench Louw should be starting ahead of useless Mostert I reckon we could see Esterhuizen come on at 12 with DA moving to 13 - fuck me that is a monster centre pairing

They should have rather started with Esterhuizen and DDA.....what Jesse "lost" Kriel is doing there, is a mystery.

Yup, would be huge centre combo, but other than Esterhuizen, no ball sense with Kriel and De Allende.

Would still love to see Am and Esterhuizen link up in the midfield one day

KC

Are you dumb or not.  Esterhuizen has zero ball skills and less ball sense at center and even White thought he was no center because of that.    That is why he was not in the WC squad and if he is allowed to play it wpuld be in the last 10 minutes if the score gap is big enough.   Aside from that he is a poor defender as well.

Mike I agree in his earlier career he had problems with these aspects, but ever since he plays overseas, he has corrected these aspects....and now plays a more Balanced style of Rugby.

Kriel is stronger than de Lindy and a way better reader of defence.... so it makes sense. FFS, think at least a little bit. Here are the yarpies... "ifs de lindy cant defend lets fucking make him an outside centre!"... fucking hell I wish you nobs were coaching the Blocks!

Mike stop sucking de lindy cock okay??? Ester deserves a real shot and we can take it from there. He has skills but can he take the step up?? Cant write the guy off if he isn't given a real shot. His defence is pretty established though... fucked up the Wallies last I saw him. Even fucked up Kerevi! That's pretty tough to do in case you don't fucking know what a kerevi is you doink! But... I still say Polly is an actual 12 not a 10 and THE best option right now. Fucking sorted you dildo.

If Willemse gets injured, Frans Steyn would likely play at flyhalf.
This would be a powerful combination, albeit lacking in speed or skill.

10. Frans Steyn

12. Esterhuizen

13. Delande

26. Jessica Kriel (Reserve cheerleader).

With Pollard starting to have constant injury problems and underperforming the Springboks are in serious trouble iro of the number 10 position.   Steyn is not the answer - he is slow and a slow decision maker - while his defense at best is dubious.    I think the only player of note worth including in the development of a new flyhalf is Ngomezulu  - the Under 20 flyhalf.   He was an absolute star in the last T20 tournament involving the UK teams, France  and South Africa.

Mike when last did you see Esterhuizen play? He won a string of MoM awards in Eng playing for Harlequins and several over consecutive weekends against full strength teams. Also, do yourself a favour and search him on YouTube.

What is impressive is his defence, to run down wings and even poach a lot off balls. Ability to get over the advantage line is frightening and he has developed his passing and kicking game. His time is now and DD should move to back up or our 3rd choice

Anyway, back to our team selections, not sure what Bargie team will show up.
They list really badly against Aus in one game at home but then the following week played expansive and destroyed the Wobblies.
Then beat the all blacks at home with keeping it tight and a strong kicking and defensive game but then fell apart the next weekend.
Looking at our team, If the guys don't take them seriously we lose, but it looks like our trend is to lose, backs to the wall and then win.
I think our tight five will trump theirs and then we have Ox and Trev who are good scrummagers that can get is those penalties at the end of the game.
If kolissi can put another shift in like his last game then great . Wiese did a good job and so did mTostert.
However, might be a tense game
My only concern is Willemse goal kicking
