As I predicted, just the halfbacks who change from the starting XV. A few changes on the bench though.

I think the 7-1 split is an unnecessary risk and leaves us very exposed if Faf gets injured or carded.

Kolbe can play scumhalf. But I would prefer a 6-2 split. Kwagga could play in the backline so that helps.

Boks want a forward battle. Win or lose the wee abs are in for rough afternoon! That bench is designed to flatten the opposition. Trick will be to be on relatively even terms at end of first half.

Rassie as always a brave man. He has weighed the options and reckons this is our best shot at a win. One thing for sure we have to dominate the wee abs in the forwards. That should happen in the second half.

Pakster if we lose we have still had a very good RWC! How incredibly arrogant to think making the final is not a big achievement. One can only laugh at these absurd comments.

It only paid off once, against Ireland the boks lost with the exact same play. They weren't as dominant in the forwards. On the day we could have won had Manie converted his kicks. 

Everything needs to go to plan if this is to work. What happens if Faf goes down. Will Kolbe cover at 9. What if you lose Dud or Jessie? Will Willemse shift to centre or 10. 

What I did see was the Boks destroy the All Blacks up front. The All Blacks had absolutely no room to move. This is the same team 8 weeks on and a lot has happened in-between. For one, their handling has improved significantly. 

It was also a different team that played against them. We had Libbok, Moodie, Esterhuizen in the backline. Not sure we have the same strike power.

There are risks and there are rewards. The starting pack looked jaded against England. Against nz you need forward dominance. I think we will get that in the second half. 

I won der if the wee abs will be forced to change their approach.

Beeno, I think picking 7 forwards means that the whole bench will get a run.

The plan is to account for the form on the day of individual players.  (E.g. Vermeulen, Kolisi). 
As well as make sure the team is fresh and finishes stronger.

If a player is not in top form on the day, get them off early - and then change the pack until it is all players with good form on the day are on the pitch- as well as fresh players.

1. If the Boks are playing well, the starters will stay on longer- and then the whole pack will be switched at the same time around the 60th minute.

2. If the Boks are not playing well, the bench will be brought on earlier, but more gradually of 1-2 players at a time. (e.g. Kolisi will be yanked quickly, maybe even in the first half). If the rucks are not going well, Kolisi needs to depart.

Rassie needs to look at form on the day and switch players until there is a pack on the field that is better than the All Blacks. Wiese for example, could come on and turn the tide- just because on the day he is having a good game. 

HasBeen,  when Pollard landed his kick last week, there wasn’t anybody in their seat in my tv room. The fact that I don’t rate Harrassmiss doesn’t change 60 years of being a Bok fan.
