Springboks’ team to face Ireland

South Africa: 15 Damian Willemse, 14 Kurt-Lee Arendse, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Cheslin Kolbe, 10 Manie Libbok, 9 Faf de Klerk, 8 Jasper Wiese, 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 6 Siya Kolisi (c), 5 Franco Mostert, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Bongi Mbonambi, 1 Steven Kitshoff
Replacements: 16 Deon Fourie, 17 Ox Nche, 18 Trevor Nyakane, 19 Jean Kleyn, 20 RG Snyman, 21 Marco van Staden, 22 Kwagga Smith, 23 Cobus Reinach

The only sur prise is that there's no surprise. Pretty nuch the expected team and the predicted 7-1 split on the bench.

Go Bokke!

Kwagga can play wing. Virtually every Bok backline player can cover another position.

A six 2 sit really mean you have three people who can play in the backline on the bench. So was playing Fourie and Van Staden worth going for the 7-1 option.

Pity Marx won't be playing but that is some bomb squad. Totally fresh tight five and 2 fresh loosies.

I think this has been planned for some time.

Good side. Lot's of experience and good current form.

The Irish loose trio's ability to link between backs and forwards is their strength. Our loosies need to step up in this game.

LOL Ireland so confident they didn't even bother with a full bench!

I would have been a tad nervous had the Bokke been on some record winning streak...stats are the worst...

Stav, don' t worry, 27 from 30 will still sound impressive . . . except you'll have the supposedly tougher quarterfinal in the tournament that counts.

The way things have worked out, if Ireland lose the match, the Scottish match is going to be really tense for them. In the first half Scotland were absolutely in the game in the match against the Boks…arguably had the clearest try scoring chance blown by their right wing.

The Ireland coaches are smart enough to know that, so I believe they will be fully committed in this game.
