Corrie is the bolter, or rather the quoter. However, barring lock with the available resources, it is a decent team.
Mampimpi has been the best finisher in South African rugby for a few years now, other than perhaps Dyanti. Does he have the high ball skills, and is his alround defence good enough for test rugby. Surprising that he was not discovered earlier.
It would have been good to see Dyanti get a run at outside-centre for the Lions, given that is his preferred position. He is big enough to play centre for the Boks if he gets more experience here.
Not convinced about AM, but he has been solid. Jessica Kriel would be a better option- but AM does have the advantage of having combined with Esterhuizen for the Sharks- and at Kingspark in general.Carthuizen gets another chance. He was poor in the last test, but he has become a good SuperRugby player. 110kg of muscle,
Jantjies is not a test player, or least not a starting test player- may be good of the bench with space. Willemse may not be ready for test rugby, but he is unlikely to make the basic errors that plagued Jantjies in the last test.
Frans Malherbe needs to up his game. Not sure what happened to Louw, but he looked the real deal at tight head last year.

Great to see Etzebeth back in the Bok team.

Malherbe does not belong in that team, the Bok contract is the best thing that has happened to him. Hope Mapimpi plays well, would be good to increase our depth at wing.

Jannie still haunts me when I shut my eyes. All the talent was given to his brother.

Having Jannie play for the Boks was the worst example of a country that lacked depth in a position. I'm adamant that had a younger player, with the capacity to improve, played over him it would have benefited the team more. Which player I believed I can not remember, that's in the past where (I hope) it stays.

Only Willie, Dyantyi, Pollard, Faf, Marx, Etzebeth, PSDT and Kolisi would have made my Bok starting side - way to go Rassie another half measures coach. Will nothing ever change when it comes to the Boks - I’m getting a little bored with these sub standard coaches we keep having to endure.
I had high hopes with Rassie but when you see selections like this and worse still the inclusion of the likes of Mvovo, Mapoe, Cronje and Orie you know there is little hope.
Oh to be an All Black supporter where coaches get 95% of the selections correct every time

Moz you miss the point, I rate both Esterhuizen and Am in fact Esterhuizen’s performances this year about sum up your take on players. He has been fantastic for the Sharks.
Back to my point, while I rate them both they are not my first choice centres. Hope that helps.
I see Denise is still as obnoxious as ever. What a waste of space he is. I sooo miss his insightful rugby knowledge!!

Boks two kicks close to the Argies line. Questionable but adventurous .
