15 Pat Lambie, 14 Francois Hougaard, 13 Juan de Jongh, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Morne Steyn, 9 Faf de Klerk, 8 Warren Whiteley, 7 Oupa Mohoje, 6 Francois Louw, 5 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Vincent Koch, 2 Adriaan Strauss (captain), 1 Tendai Mtawarira

Substitutes: 16 Bongi Mbonambi, 17 Steven Kitshoff, 18 Julian Redelinghuys, 19 Lood de Jager, 20 Willem Alberts, 21 Jaco Kriel, 22 Lionel Mapoe, 23 Willie le Roux

Looks like a team that's been selected to lose by as few points as possible.

I wonder if we will have another forward playing in the backline. Are we the only team in the world that only has 2 backline players on the pitch.

It's just the most stupid thing . . . every time Francois Hougaard is ever selected our management treat it as some kind of bonus because we can pick an extra forward!

Hard to understand this kind of thinking . . . especially when the "bonus" forward on the bench is a lumbering has-been who is too small to play lock and too slow to play loose forward.

At least PSDT is keeping Lood on the bench! One has to applaud life's little victories.

The revolving Delande is back. I am glad to get rid of Jessie Kriel. At best he is a fullback.
At least having some of a combination that is used to each other might help Delande get his playmaking game back again.
Dejong has not been great - but he has not been terrible either. He is probably a better defender than Mapoe, but Mapoe brings more play making abilities.

Why is Oupa Mohoje selected anyways? Quotas for sure!

Seems Coetzee kept a winning team barring injuries. Somebody once told me that was a smart thing to do.....of course that was before the era of the Barking Dogs. Remember them, their leader thought the Boks were going to lose by more than 15 points last week. Funny stuff.

I wonder if ou ComradeMike is going to wait for the ESPN stats again, or has he already written his match report for this Saturday's test between the Boks and the ABs.

There is a variety of programmes to be watched on Saturday - such as the FINA Swimming WC in Doha - but I would watch the AB test because they play ugby - not some rubbish such as expected to happen last Saturday,
I leave before the games rugby reports to you and Mozart - when they are put on this site it is clear that they had no relevance as to what actually happened on the field of play.

@ComradeMike. Don't tell me you actually watch swimming. I was a swimmer myself but that it is easily one of the most boring sports disciplines to watch. OK, maybe diving beats it....... by a whisker.
On the rugby reporting....... Nah mate. The reporting without watching the game is your forte. I do not even predict outcomes. In fact,  as far as I can remember, the only result I ever predicted on this board was the recent test between SA and Aus in Aus.

No-one on this board is more dishonest than Moffie. I don't think I know anyone in any walk of life who is more dishonest than Moffie. Probably the most despicable person I know.

I'm not really thrilled to see either design Jong or debit allende in the team but at least they are playing in their preferred position and we have combo. I would have moved hougaard to 9 as he has the experience over. Far had his chances and blew it. I disagree that Mapoe is a poor defender. He has only missed one tackle where do allende has missed 6. I also think that we have the wrong coaches for players such as Elton and Fan. Our provinces simply don't have a national frame work to coach from. Alistair would have been better off picking most of the lions back line. Bring in Sweis to help with the integration and use the sharks defensive coach to Nullify New Zealand attack and rush defence. The sharks had the right game plan against the hurricanes and beat them convincingly.

Keeping with a winning team is a good thing. The problem we have is that we first need to select a winning team.
So far all I see is a bunch of losers.
