2013....10/2 83.3% . 2017....5/2 71.4% . 2012...7/3 70% . 2008/2014. 9/4.....69.2% . 2009 8/4 ...66.7% . 2010 8/6 ...57.1% . 2011 5/4....55.5% . 2015 6/5....54.5% . 2016 4/8...33.3% . 2017 oddly is a highish water mark, but it doesn’t feel that way because we beat none of our top rivals in the RC. Three of HM’s years are in the top 5. Progress is hard to discern and 40% of the time we didn’t win 60% of our matches. 2009 and 2014 were terrific years up until the YE tours, 2017 has a risk of a similar implosion. .

And we lost to - JAPAN in 2015.  Another bs in buckets thread.    The problem is that the 2016 results was the direct result of Meyer's addiction the reputation selection - without regard to performance.
The Japan loss was a typical outcome of the achievements of the reputation selection story,   The team playing that day was the most experiemnceed team ever fielded by the Springboks.
