About right except for the no 12 center and the back row players of the Sharks. The best 7 by a distance was Labuschagne - closely followed by Du Plessis - and the best 8 by far was Philip van der Walt.
Serfontein did squat to be selected - he was comprehensively outplayed by Venter.

Nope those were the best centres........Frans might have challenged Serfontein at 12, but Serfontein's outside break swung it for me. At 13, Watermeyer made the most impact which the stats confirm.

Shall I quote the game stats for you? Serfontein and Steyn both had serious defensive deficiencies and problems in ball handling and Steyn effectively sabotaged the Sharks backline by crashballing ineffectively and never once passing a ball to any player outside of him.
Alberts did one thing during the whple course of the game and squat otherwise, The fact that the Cheetahs beat the bulls stemmed from the good performances of in particular Coenie, Labuschagne and Van der Walt.

I dont need stats to tell me that Venter never came close to outplaying Serfontein and Frans was the next best 12 on the day.

Just one thing - I did not know there was a rugby law that says a no 12 center shall never pass a ball to anybody outside of him. C an you please enlarge on that one?

Don't be fucking dim - I said he never once passed the ball to a player outside of him and that is a fact. Be that as it may - if you saw the stats you would also have noticed that he lost ball possession 3 times and gave away two penalties because of crashballing in a game he fucked up comprehensively. The Sharks got a surfeit of possession - Steyn made absolutely sure it was neutralized completely.
Let me quote what some members of Sharksworld say about Steyn:-
* Frans Steyn holds onto the ball far too often when he should let it go.
* The only difference between Steyn and Halstead is that Steyn can drop a ball quite far. Other than that he has the same limited ball distribution skills.
