Australia U20s won’t be daunted by the size of South Africa’s pack heading into Tuesday night’s TRC U20 clash on the Sunshine Coast.

The Junior Springboks impressed at scrum time during a 13-all draw with New Zealand last week and will look to target Nathan Grey’s side after the Aussies conceded five scrum penalties in their 25-6 loss to Argentina.

Catch all the action from TRC U20 LIVE and exclusive on Stan Sport. But with conditions clearing on the Sunshine Coast and 10 changes to Australia's starting line up, flanker Aden Ekanayake believes his side can up the tempo and take the fight to South Africa.

“We’re a pretty skillful team that likes to play a style of footy where we throw the long passes. It won’t just be around the corner stuff,” Ekanayake told rugby.com.au

“South Africa will definitely be a challenge. They’re a quality team with big boys but we’ve got big boys as well … and I definitely think we have the crop to give the World Cup and the rest of these games a red-hot crack.”

A product of Barker College and Gordon Rugby Club, Ekanayake has enjoyed a breakout 12 months featuring game time with the Aussie Sevens and a stint as Australian Schools & 18s skipper.

“Sevens is always fun and but it’s always good to get back into 15s, especially representing your country,” Ekanayake said.

“The professionalism and training load is insane at Sevens and it’s a big toll on the body … but the way the boys carry themselves and the standards they set is something I’ve definitely taken across into 15s.”

Admission to Sunshine Coast Stadium is free with TRC U20 games commencing at 5pm AEST (New Zealand v Argentina).

If the Abs knocked on only 50% less last week they'd have put serious numbers past the Boks. 

The weather disguised a very ordinary performance and this week they got found out.

This is what happens when you have a quota coach at the helm. Don't need to say much when your first name is Bfana. Remember the team with the same name and play with a round ball. 

He looked good in the 6 nations that was played in SA, but back then the team probably had exposure to Rassie and Nienaber and you could see a similar style being played. 

When ever he is on his own, the team implodes. 

Remember the SA A team that he coach against Bristol and how poorly they lost to Bristol B team. 

Barely made a dent in the junior world cup. 

We need proper coaches at age group. 

If you need a development coach then go do it at provinces. Not at this level 

There is spmethng srious amiss in the team I watched this morning.     There was cvirtually no game pan = the props not entering when the Aussies used friving mauls.- the defense being deficient and poor ball skills by the backline.   It seems that they tried to play a  typical Bulls game.   Poor kicking and it allowed te Auussies to counter-attack   

Bester ran a Joe Cool line for his try….other than that nothing much to celebrate.

Oz played Ozzie rugby while the South Africans played their traditional one dimensional bash it up rugby. Nothing has changed.....they haven't learnt.

Even if we beat the Argies we look the prime contender for the wooden spoon.......... but that's ok, apparently this competition's about building depth & watching players' grow.

Downright lame and ridiculous .

Don't forget, the swamp that SA played against the all blacks. It was more who got lucky than playing the game. 

Glad to see we have Rassie still at senior level. My fear was that Stick or Davids would get the gig while Rassie and Nienaber rides off into the sunset. 

We had two previous quota clowns, not to mention a few none quota clowns like Markgraaf and Steuli

Didn’t the baby boks lose to Italy under this clown. These guys, same as stick, and that blitz boks quota coach believes that they have made it. But I’m sure the coaches don’t know what they are talking about. 

It is their attitude, just cringed every time I saw stick speak. Stating the obvious all the time. Didn’t see a single thing that he does
