HAd we not been shafted by refs when playing down under there would be no question about it. Add in the two loses against the England B and losing the drawn test against Oz and nz should be about three or 4 in the world on the rugby played.

Ex Sport 24

Cape Town - There is a mathematical chance the Springboks will find themselves at No 1 in the IRB rankings when they are released next week.

The Springboks can end New Zealand's five-year reign as the top-ranked side in the world if they beat Ireland on Saturday (kick-off 19:30 SA time) AND have England beat the All Blacks by 15 points.

While the IRB ranking make little sense to anyone, Heyneke Meyer's men could be celebrating their No 1 status come Monday.

Yes we hope so let bjustice be done!

Latest IRB Top 10 rankings:

1. New Zealand 93.15
2. South Africa 90.41
3. England 85.68
4. Australia 84.53
5. Ireland 83.44
6. Wales 80.70
7. France 80.01
8. Scotland 77.75
9. Samoa 76.35
10. Argentina 75.97

Argentina will need to climb up the ladder a bit. being below the hapless Samoa and Scotland wont sit well with them.

Dream on Hasbeeno. Actually if the ABs hadn't owned the Boks for the last 22 years you may have been No.1...........but you're not. It's a big word that....IF!!

 won't be this time.................

and you'll have to wait for a long time, after winning against England the AB won't lose against Scotland or Wales

After that performance the Boks don't deserve to even think they can be number one.

I wold like to quote this same poster, he deserves it:

" Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!"

And if next week the boks lose with England and the Wallies impose over France, which is very probable to occur, the boks could lose the second place

Beeno: just erase the tape mate as it will only lead to heart-break & despair. Trot out your post-game excuses & no one will know the difference.

Beeno: as the weekend games have now concluded it must be time to congratulate the boks on claiming the number 1 ranking.
I suggest a modest celebration in line with good sportsmanship & the dignity we have come to expect from you
Beeno celebrating the "victory"

Why is he wearing that weee green hat? Is he Irish?
Disclaimer: "victory" is subject to intepretation

Okay so there has been a delay. What is  certain is we will be number one again oaks so relax and enjoy your closing moments as number one. The wee abs can hardly beat the injury plagues Poms with their best team. Now that has to be most concerning kbbs!!Beeno confident in the greatness of the Mighty Boks currrently well below full strength

...Bean Brain did warn you about the big nose dive...but you can blame the ABs for sending their B team to SA and lulling the naïve and gullible yarpies into a false sense of security...think it's called a honey trap?.... luckily for you Samoa today lost otherwise your world ranking could've gone down to fifth by the end of next week...

In truth brycy I am more concerned re Meyer selecting getting the right players on ther field. That achieved the rankings inluding the number 1 spot will take care of itself. The wee abs fielding their best side and with their very close win over the injury rava ged Poms have more to worry about.Bwahahahahahhahahaha

Tend to think that the Boks getting hammered by the No.5 team in the world have just a few more problems than the ABs, who need I remind you Hasbeeno have NEVER lost to the Paddies! That's why we've always been No.1 mate, please accept your fate!Bwaha etc etc......!

Hakwa: do you remember the thread we had where some Bok posters claimed that the wet conditions in the NH would be the downfall of the ABs & would result in the Boks dominance?
All sorts of theories were advanced by the constructive kiwis, e.g. games should be played in swamps, grounds keepers should employ more worms to soften the fields , etc.
Maybe there were not enough worms? This would be a credible "post-game" excuse, lol
