Boks digging deep for World Cup; Rugby 365

Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer says he is happy with the depth they have built ahead of the World Cup next year. Although his side have been hit hard by injuries this year, it has been something of a blessing in disguise with more young players gaining Test experience. "There are a lot of great players that are injured, and that was our problem this year that we never got continuity in our play. I felt in the last two games that we were almost there," he said. The most glaring problem area for Meyer this year has been his halfback combination, with almost zero continuity, but he was encouraged by the performance of Francois Hougaard against Australia at Newlands as well as the impact made by Pat Lambie and Cobus Reinach off the bench. "For Francois [Hougaard] to come in as a third-choice and have a game like that we are really blessed to have these guys. "I was really happy for Cobus Reinach at the end, the plan was to put him up a bit earlier but with Bryan [Habana] injured, Pat [Lambie] coming on was under pressure a little bit there," he said. With a number of experienced players also coming off the bench to great effect against Wallabies, Meyer admitted that he will have to make some big calls when it comes to naming his final World Cup squad next year. "It is great to have these players and we are definitely going to take this into the World Cup, we have a lot of depth now and it is going to be really difficult picking a squad for the World Cup. "That is what we want, a lot of youngsters came through and a lot of old guys came through so we are really in a great position," he said. A year out from the World Cup Meyer's management of his players will be key, especially considering the impact made by the heavily experienced bench at Newlands. If he gets the balance right there will be enough depth at his disposal to ensure that he does not have to rest his first-choice players completely as has been done in previous World Cup years. By Michael de Vries

Of course there is a double meaning in "Boks digging deep". 
That double meaning sums up the situation: are the Boks making the right selections & giving the right players game time to develop or are they digging themselves a whole to nowhere?

so much valuable test time wasted by meyer on these clowns, and this is of the top of my head, im sure researching the topic would show the list to be much greater.

Boksuckers are a non entity in the RWC for the All Blacks.
Boks are only dangerous in SA, outisde of SA they are like the indian cricket team outside of india.

should the All Blacks play the Boksuckers in the RWC, we only need to feild our best team and the natural course of rugby nature will take its place, where the All Blacks beat the Boks, like rock always beats scissors.

 Brave statement Sas. Tell me what's the head to head between SA and NZ outside SA and  NZ and in RWC"s. History has a way in repeating itself. The 4 points margin you put over us in NZ this year really underlines your argument. Google "windgat"

dont worry draad, the RWC like all other titles will have been won by NZ more times than anyone else by a fair margin and we will see it in our lifetime.

RWC is still an infant with a total of seven to date.
when u compare it to the TriNats which was arguably the most competitive tournament in the world, after the first seven TriNats, NZ had only won 4 of the first 7.
fast forward to 2011, and the All Blacks ended up with 10 from 16.

the same trend of complete All Black domination will continue in the RWC, like it has in the TriNats, the RC and the IRB rankings,

heres a tip for u and my saffa buddies, its a lot less painful when u dont struggle, bawahahahaha,

interesting RWC fact,,,
despite losing 2 of the three tests to SA in RWCs, All Blacks still s cored more tries, 3-1

and also the All Blacks are the only team in the world to have won all their RWC pool stage matches,

The All Blacks will not win the World Cup next year. We all saw how their forwards were bullied at the EOYT last year. Allmost lost to England, France and Ireland. 

The Boks on the other hand were dominant against France, and put Wales to the sword. 
Wales is a better team than France now days, with Wales and Ireland on pretty much on par with each other.
Put the Boks and All Blacks on the same pitch in the Northern Hemisphere and the ABS forward pack will be moered into the ground and their defence will fall apart

The All Blacks usually get easy opening rounds in the world cup. Typically against Japan, and other pathetic teams. This is why they get lots of points at the start of the tournament, and then when they meet a physical team they fall apart. 
World Cups are more about traditional power rugby, not the net ball touch rugby that the ABS backline like to play in the last 15 minutes of a match after getting slapped around.

so while its true the All Blacks havent won a RWC, outside of NZ, heres another fact between u and i which i can never prove but dont need to cos we both know,,,

my confidence in the All Blacks winning the/a RWC outside of NZ is greater than ur confidence that NZ wont,

but hey, far be it for me to deny u chums a chance to get in some good body shots, so keep on harping about the All Blacks not winning outside of NZ while u can, Lord knows SA rugby has given u nothing else u can cheer for, LM AO,

ok wait a minute ceradyne, i made a mistake, Boks in 2013 did achieve the status of being the All Blacks No1 rival.

i forget how much of an honour that is outsuide of NZ,

From what I hear no one is planning on leaving this site , I enjoy both myself. I got hold of Rosemarie & she has been on both sites also but is very busy with her book promotion.So we don't see much of her unless I provoke her by email.
