Congrats to the Boks on the win & as Foster said when the ABs lead the rankings it doesn't count until you beat the Boks. This RC it was 1-1.

Terrific game of rugby and as fans we all deserved such a game!

Some of the Boks v AB games have been the very best and this one had all the ingredients

Agreed this was probably the best game of rugby I have seen since the 2013 Ellis Park clash. The Boks thoroughly deserved this win and NZ were beaten fair and square today. Our inability to ring the cash register still needs to be resolved but at times today the Boks were very impressive.

This is weird  - the Springboks won exactly 1 test  against the All Blacks  in the four years Meyer was coach and that was at home in Ellis Park in 2014.   The 2013 test was the one where the players ran through Morne Steyn as if he was not there and Alberts was a  defensive disaster too.

Under Coetzee they won zero and lost by  recod margins in most AB tests played.   So in 201 8 the Sprngboks beat the AB's away and lost at home.   In  2019 the Springboks lost in one test and drew in the other.   In 2021  the Boks won one and lost one.

So since 2018  the results were as follows:-

AB's won 3 - lost 2 and 1 game was a draw.

Since 2018 there was a major  improvement  in the performances of the Springboks against all opposition and  that is a fact.

2013 Morné was the best defensive Bok.

But lets refocus: The All Blacks between 2012 and 2015 were of vastly superior stock.

2018: 50% win record. Where was the improvement? Since then? Only a win against the worst Wallaby side in 45 years, at home, a depleted Welsh side and England. The Lions series was an abysmal mess, we were ripped apart by Australia and New Zealand. We are dead last in the competition for attack output, which is still better than the Lions series! Yet, we are "on track", and good? This team is nowhere close to being best in the world and has yet to play great rugby at any point this year. In fact, it keeps getting worse as time passes by.

Coetzee was a better coach who was sacked as he was rebalancing his approach. Meyer is practically a God by comparison. Jake is still better even then that, for his conviction and leadership.

José and Krutch come away from the RC as clowns exposed for their inadequacies. Only in South Africa does finishing third in a competition qualify as upholding their status as world champions.

Great logic Pervert….except you missed the most obvious point, the ABs in 2013 and 2014 were way better than this team, building for their WC win.

Ergo, sadly you are wrong again.

Better team - that is always the story of the mini-brain rugby idiots..  One would suppose that the Springboks regarded a best display as being losing by less than 10 points is as i it was a win.   O yea - that is probably the case  case with the Springboks counting amongst their top performances a  loss against Japan.

I get it now - the Springboks was so strong under Meyer and Coetzee because the team selection was done on experience with total disregard for performance,   and that is what is why they ere never ever criticized by  our two celebrated rugby ignoramuses.

That is why I lost interest in the Rugby forum   Mozart and the Kindergarten Imbecile repeatedly post grabage about the same players and falsification of performances by their favorite players and then there is the sourness following the effective firing of their two favorite coaches - Mayer and Coetzee - and relentless attacks on Erasmus.    If it is not for repetitiveness one could have a bit of interest - but there is never anything new coming from those two.

Actually Augie and I were among the few who saw through the myth and as soon as the Boks have a success you will be back on the Rugby forum. Right now you look like your true self….a total fool.

I should not have responded to rugby idiocy and regret I did in this case.

It was part of the plan.  To keep pretending.

The tour in Europe will be driven by the same motivation: hoping that a number one chair is enough to hide the abyss named SA rugby.

Every decision will be taken to that light. The impersonation may live still.
