Boks to be owned "down under"

Well, travel sickness is one thing but I don't believe it will factor as to why the once mighty Boks will lose. Sure your man Hooper is the next best thing and is going to give the Boks plenty of grief over the length of his playing career, of that I have no doubt. Our major problem is that we have a Dikhead coach who cannot select a decent team, more than half the players are not worthy of the Bok jumper...sad but true. I also think the Wallabies will relish playing against a much slower and direct team, those two factors alone will determine the outcome of the game. Quade Cooper will be allowed plenty of time to weave his magic as the Boks stare into the headlights of an oncoming train. Not that I have a high opinion of the Quad-dope but the Boks will make him look good. Also think a lack of a decent Bok gameplan is going to assist a Wallaby win.

I was in Singapore last year, lovely spot, stayed at the Changi Airport hotel, most intriqued with the english influence, names of streets etc eg Orchard Street, Fullerton Hotel and so onwards. Coming from Melbourne I thought you'd be more of an AFL man, how did you get to know about this site?

Cloudy, Don't get me wrong, I'll always support the Boks, win, lose or draw but one cannot just brush aside what DKDK has done. Geez it's hard enough winning but then to go and shoot one's own team in the foot before a big tour makes it even harder. Everyone was happy when that clown Pieter De Villiers pissed off and ecstatic when the well credentialled DKDK was annointed Bok coach. All that aside, I'm not fussed with Ozzie loudmouths....come the game I'll be hooting my lungs out for the Boks. PS did you read my below post?

Michael Hooper update
Last week I showed you some statistics comparing the work rate of Michael Hooper with Richie McCaw. Some readers suggested it was wrong to question the performance of one of the Wallabies’ best players, particularly when other commentators were praising him so highly. Others complained that I hadn’t included involvements in defensive rucks in that comparison so it was misleading and unfair to Hooper.

After the second match I’ve updated the numbers to include defensive rucks for both matches.

Looking back to previous articles I’ve written I undertook exactly the same analysis comparing David Pocock’s work rate on the same basis against McCaw after the 2011 RWC semi-final between the Wallabies and All Blacks. I thought it may be interesting to update the current analysis by including that data.

The data for Hooper and McCaw in 2013 in the graph below is on a ‘Per 80 Minute’ basis across both Bledisloe matches. Both Pocock and McCaw played the full 80 minutes in the 2011 match so the numbers are a good comparison.

 Oimatey: brilliant analysis mate.McCaw is to total 7 and he never lets his focus be on one aspect of his game at the expense of his overall contribution to the team. Others come and go, Pocock, etc. but Richie is still there puting in top performances.
