WTF next. Apparently some genius has found red in the flag. . 'Roux added that the red jersey was a symbol of the conclusion of one era and the starting of a new one: “It is commonplace for national teams to be creative with their alternate playing kits but it is not something we have done with our white alternate jersey in South Africa before. . “The traditionalists might miss a heartbeat but we need to move with the times as a sport and it’s 111 years since a South African rugby team first wore a white jersey so it’s not something we’ve rushed into. We think this makes a statement, it will definitely be a collector’s item,” said Roux.' . Anything to break tradition, what does red have to do with Bok rugby.....especially given Wales and the British Lions have established Red as their colours. Orange would have made more sense, but I guess that would appeal to traditionalists we don't want to encourage.

And I notice the Zuma groupies in Parliament are wearing red....dancing after the failed vote of no confidence. Maybe red is the blood of angry men.

Laugh all you like....being 'in touch' with South African politics is hardly going to impact my life. It seems 'being in touch' is mostly just accepting your ongoing impotence. .. LMOFY!

Stay out of politics - the members in red was fiercely opposed to Zuma.   They are from the EFF.
I think that the red jersey will not help in this case.   I had a small hope that the Springboks in the RC would do better than last year - but with the selected squad I am  afraid we can kiss an improvement good-bye,

Wehe . . . the EFF are about as stupid as Moffie!
The speaker says there were 390 odd votes and then goes on to give the number of "yes" votes as 170 odd . . . so the numerically challenged (the EFF idiots and Moffie) start celebrating . . . unable to do the quick mental arithmetic, they think they've won!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha!

The fact is that more than 50 members of the ANC did not support Zuma - they stayed away from voting, they abstained or they actively voted against the ANC.   But that is not the end of the story as I explained elsewhere.
The situation breakdown is as follows:-
The opposition has in total 151 voters in Parliament.   Of those 2 were absent because of a vehicle accident last week.   There are also 3 opposition members who voted for Zuma and 1 abstained.    That reduces the potential opposition vote to 145.   Yet they received a total of 178 votes - meaning that 33 ANC members voted against Zuma  despite party instructions.   Not enough - they needed double that number.
However, the ANC has three vacancies in Parliament reducing their number to 246 potential voters.   There was 198 members voting against the motion of which three were votes from an opposition party.   So what happened here -
*    51 ANC members did not support the ANC; of which*     9  abstained; and*     9  did not bother to turn up to vote.
Although the abstentions and absentees would have still have not been enough to swing the vote - there is no doubt that the ANC has been badly affected in what happened yesterday.

I'd rather wear Black against the ABs, the confusion might help us. This is a horrible choice.....a garrish red, with same coloured shorts.

The Springboks' new one-off red jersey to take on Argentina has already received some hostile reaction.

While a bold choice, it doesn't quite crack the list of the worst jerseys of all time. Here's some of the best of the worst from the Herald archives.

1) The court jesters

Perpignan's attemped checkers design could have looked classy, but ended up looking more like the class clown with their jester-inspired design.

2) England designers at sixes and sevens

English fans were blinded by designs for the sevens jerseys a couple of years ago that one newspaper described as "a psychedelic strip that resembles a 1980s arcade game". In one of the great moments in jersey design, rugby officials reckoned pixelation had been used to "portray the DNA of the rose".

3) Fitzy spews

Sydney Morning Herald columnist Peter FitzSimons, a former test forward, this week recalled getting an early peek at a new Wallaby jersey in 1997. He was immediately inspired to pen a column describing it as looking like "volcano vomit" amongst other things.

4) Not All Blacks

The All Blacks used a weird grey and black number to avoid a clash with France in THAT 2007 World Cup quarter final in Cardiff. The jerseys looked like the work of the people involve in creating New Zealand cricket one-day uniforms. At least that famous loss meant the jersey has never been seen again.

5) Brace yourself

Supporters of Austrian rugby - yes there is such a thing apparently - came up with a jersey design that included boring brown braces.

6) Stade but never staid

Stade Francais are the kings of weird rugby jersey designs. A typical effort came in 2008 which featured faces of Parisienne 13th-century heroine Blanche de Castille, the wife of Louis VIII, in a multi-coloured design "in the fashion of Andy Warhol".

Some of these players are not even in the squad like Lambie. Did they take the time to pose for these new jerseys- or are these strips Photoshop"ed" onto to the players from another photo.
Seems more orange than redThe orange MTN's. This MTN logo is so prominent, given the financial losses that Bok rugby sustained last year.

What is interesting is that there are 8 players. It is a 50/50 % representation in the photo . However, no players of colour have been included such as Jantjies.
