With only French commentary it was harder to double task. One forgets how much you rely on the commentary to watch the action. The Bools centers, Marcel Coetzee and Wilco had great games. Wilco must have secured 5 scrums penalties, game changing.

Blundering at the end by Johannes almost gave Bayonne a chance but sub Hanekom after getting a silly yellow, closed the door with a hold up over the line and a final turnover on the deck.

The Bools big vulnerability is Johannes and Williams, both of whom are fine ball in hand but fragile defensively. Willam’s clearly doesn’t like contact and Johannes rarely makes a successful tackle. Goosen is not a great defender but overall so much better than Johannes.

On the positive side Wessels is an awesome power runner and Kriel is a possible Bok 13 on today’s showing,

Glorious singing by the French crowd before the game

I've missed the games this weekend.

Very happy to hear that Wilco is doing well.

The Boks need him to perform well this year.

He popped his opponent like a cork, admittedly not the biggest unit.

I'm still worried about Bok prop stocks, because we seem to only be able to win when we have two world class front rows in the match day squad.

So if Wilco is firing, then it's a relief. He has scrummed well over the last few weeks.

How was Hannekom?

Correction, Wilco has been scrumming good and solid, for the last 6 years already….

If it wasn’t for Erasmiss ,s so called blind spots that dropped Wilco for a long time, he would have been a settled beast in the Bok Squad!!

It just shows his class to crack Genge in half with his first start in years….

Hanekom copped a yellow for taking the man out in the air on a kickoff….but actually saved the game with two penalties at the breakdown.

He is our smartest loosie by a mile, his anticipation and vision is top drawer.

Smarter than Mike at Einstein minus 5 is the question.

Congrats to Jake White as well. He was coaching Montpellier when the team won the Europen Challenge Cup. His only International trophy won since the 2007 RWC. He now has a chance of coaching the Challenge Cup winners as his second trophy since 2007,

David Kriel is a class act - would be a great addition to the Bok squad. Very intelligent player with excellent skills. The fact that he covers 12, 13, 15 and wing is a huge asset. Not to mention the fact that he is a handy goal kicker

His best position is 12. I’d like to see more of him at 12 with Moodie at 13 for the Bulls but Jake is letting us down playing Moodie on the wing and Vorster at 12
