Bools shock 4
Problem is that Mitchell gets blamed by fools for what went wrong in games. Stupid decisions by the captain destroyed the chance of the Bulls winning the game. Start thinking about what actually went wrong and then come back with something concrete - not that you ae actually capable of doing that;
Looks like Gary Gold's doing a better job with the USA team as well .
Mozart's thinking debacle continues - last year there were 18 teams - this year there are 15. I n any event lies can be concocted easily - so check your facts before writing on this site.
One must note that Kriel was the best bulls back and had a good game. The Egg lands hahahahhaha
Bulls need bit more pace in the loose trio when playing a side like the Sunwolves. Papier was a great disappointment he never tried to break and use his main asset - speed. Gelant tried hard to avoid contact much of the time. Apart from Pollard and Kriel the backline had very little clue.
Mitchell a good coach has a lot of work to do with these bulle.
Beeno
I watched the game and was very disappointed iro -
* players like Gelant (he has no idea about positional play and is very slow to get to balls and virtually non-existent when it comes to defense;
* 11 turnovers conceded by backline players and a further 4 by forwards showing there was little to no ball protection and recovery by players - especially the loosies;
* the decision-making by Pollard as captain was seriously questionable;
* the functioning of the Tight 5 when the bench players came on and
* the seven penalties conceded by Kriel (3), Schoeman (3) and Snyman (1)
Mitchel has played Kotze at 12 - not wise - the latter is no center - which to my mind was a mistake. He has a lot to do in molding that squad into a team. They need going hunting for some players - especially loosies.
Aside of that penalty - Snyman did precious little during the game. He is a good Super Rugby player and had an excellent first test - but in the last two tests he was nowhere to be seen. Serious question mark about his suitability as a player on test level.
Listen fool - I look at performance - not the junk you take into consideration when commenting on players. Normally your main evaluation norm is to try and destroy by your comments any younger players and use personal attacks to do that as well.
Mozart
Sorry to point out that your discovery of De Allende's deficiency in defense and he was indeed in some matches. You ignored that your hero Fat Fransie was even worse - never a word about the latter of course.
However, You ignore the fact that De Allende in the two tests he played in this year made 17 tackles and missed only 1.
So the conclusion is you are prejudiced and you rugby comments are valueless
As to Malherbe dream on - you saw something neither anybody saw - delusion nothing more.
Mitchell could have been coach again of New Zealand and Mccaw said no thank you. So much for the great Mitch.
Yeah. The NZRU were going to sack Henry after the 2007 World Cup exit but McCaw defended him and rejected Mitchell. Says a lot if you ask me. The greatest captain of of all time for the team South Africa always try to imitate thought he sucked.
Sure Mozart
What is more embarrassing is that the SA coaches are preferred even when they are proven duds. So lets go through the list of SA duds we had over the last ten years and see where we are:-
White (in 2014) = 4,5/10
De Villiers = 3/10
Meyer = 3/10
Coetzee = 1/10
Ludeke = 2,5/10
Gold = 2/10
Muller = 1/10
Fleck = 2/10
All the above contracts -bar Fleck has been terminated due to incompetence. That does not put the thing about foreign coaches into perspective. Michell is a better coach with a broader perspective than any of the duds listed above - they all in the end caused massive problems iro SA rugby. The idea to attack Mitchell and keep quiet about other duds is ridiculous and shows total ignorance.
Lurker
See my posting above. How many SA coaches has been sacked because of incompetence - way beyond any shortcomings of Mitchell. The list of SA coaches listed above touch on real deficiencies of SA coaches - the worst of which are those below the 4/10 category,
The loose forwards are pathetic- and this is a key position in SuperRugby. The front row is average at best. Scrumhalf has been problematic, and the wings are also average at best or cart horses as worst. At least one of the wings needs to have outright pace, something the Bulls just do not have.
Mitchell has rarely been a coach of a team in SuperRugby that has a complete team on paper.He took the now discarded Western Force to their best results ever, he turned a useless Lions team into Curry Cup champions and laid the platform for SuperRugby success.
Something to consider as well is that the Loftus stadium is more profitable since he took over- as the team now plays 15 man rugby- albeit without 15 players of Super rugby standard.
Mitchell - Mitchell - Mitchell = moaning like old women. What about the near to the dozen duds listed above by me. They were in the main 100% worse than Mitchell.
The dud coach who actually destroyed the Lions were LUDEKE and Mithell needed time to rebuild - but did not really get the time needed - there were far too many elderly duds he had to phase out. And then he had Jantjies and Strauss to deal with as well.
You have to look at what the above achieved since 2008 - dud. Find an excuse for White and Meyer if you please and give reasons.
And if you want to write tripe on the site - please check your facts first. One would really have to keep from vomiting if one sees how you twist issues.
Which team is 12 out of 15 liar?
By the way - if White and Meyer were that good why were they effectively fired?
When was that BSter? Let me tell you the Stormers is at 12 and they only have 1 more game to play, while the Bulls have two more games to play.
Get your data correct - stupid
Mozart they are 11 - the Stormers is 12. You never checked and you are caught out liar as well. The reason is that they beat the Stormers in their last game.
Different websites, different positions. On the Sharks website, SuperXV. com and superrugby.co.nz the Bulls are at 12. On Supersport and Sport24 they are at 11. They share 25 log points with the Stormers, so which one is above the other is a non-issue that far down the log.
Pakie has to defend his fellow BSter. Don't you even know why the situation is also covered by the two teams result playing each other? I is a point here since the Mozart worm has been starting off on the wrong level in a discussion.
Both of you are low life - one should not discus anything with the two of you.
The reason is that they beat the Stormers in their last game.
You sure about that?
Yup, the Stormers beat the Bulls 29-17 in their last outing. Round 12 just in case anyone wants to verify it. Mike, don't let the facts perturb you though, you just soldier on and forget all the mean things the people say.

Ou Tokkie, prepare yourself for getting a snotklap by the facts again.
Fact no 1. Frans Ludeke never coached the Lions. He coached a failed experiment called The Cats which was a conglomerate of Lions, Free State and Cheetahs players. He only coached them for one season, i.e. 2006 after he replaced the hopeless Chester Williams, who had two seasons (2004-5) to fark the Cats up. Ludeke was then replaced by Eugene Eloff for three seasons (2007-9) and then Dick Muir for one season (2010).
Fact no 2. John Mitchell only arrived at the (now) Lions in 2011. FOUR years after Ludeke left the Ellispark set-up and ......... check this one out......... after Ludeke WON the Super14 (TWICE) with the Bulls.
You are the only plank, that I know of, who would blame someone who has been in charge of a team one season out of nine, with four other coaches involved, for the demise of that team. To confuse you even more..... out of the five coaches only Ludeke and Muir had only one season in charge. All of the other three had two or more seasons.
Keep on dreaming oudste, keep on dreaming.
Mike's forum survival kit:
OK dofdoos
Ludeke was wth the Cats - ie the Lions effectively twice and was fired twice by the Cats for being incompetent. He ended up with the Bulls after Meyer was undermining White = so as too become Springbok coach - which was not succes
Meyer after a short stint with Leicester returned to SA and took up an executive position with the Bulls and was effectively the real head of the Bulls in 2009-10 - while Ludeke as incompetent as ever was the nominal coach of the Bulls - they went down the drain - especially sine Meyer left the Bulls in 2012 - when he became SA coach.
In the end both Meyer and Ludeke were proved to be incompetent. They did not do proper squad renewal and by 2015 both teams were poor and virtually beyond repair. Both coaches had no game plan - other than the junk of making loosies first receiver - hence the ultimate flop. Both rather than looking for new talent selected over-the-hill useless rugby gereatrics instead of developing new players. There player selection was utter BS and in the case the high water mark for Meyer was the Japan loss in 2015 - when Meyer bragged about fielding the most experienced rugby team ever a nd lost the game.
Both were effectively fired in 2015. Ludeke was BS and should have been fired at least a year earlier - Meyer should never have been appointed as Springbok coach. Those are facts and your defense of the Lions - Cats issue is flimsy and effectively BS. What is not BS is the fact that Ludke was even a worse coach than Meyer - something which could also be debatable from a damage control point of view.
You clearly have no understanding of the expression "When in a hole, your first step is to stop digging". These were the coaches of Transvaal/The Cats/The Lions or whatever since their involvement in Super Rugby:
Transvaal: 1996 - Kitch Christie
Gauteng Lions1997 - Ray Mordt
Golden Lions1998 - Peet Kleynhans1999 - Andre Markgraff2000 & 2001 - Laurie Mains
Cats2002 - Rudy Joubert2003 - Tim Lane2004 & 2005 - Chester Williams
Lions (Super 14 era). (And here I will concede that I was wrong. Ludeke did indeed coach the Lions and not the Cats. I initially looked at a different site, i.e. Frans Ludeke's Wikipedia page, which shows him as The Cats coach in 2006.) Their coaches in this era were:
2006 - Frans Ludeke2007 & 2008 and 2009 - Eugene Eloff2010 - Dick Muir
Super Rugby era.2011, 2012 - John Mitchell2013 - They did not participate because they were booted out of Super Rugby because they were too kak, under Mitchell, to stay in the competition. It was basically decided that the kakkest SA team in the 2012 Super Rugby season would be the ones to make way for the Kings. The dubious honour fell on Mitchell and his merry men.2014 - We all know how this saga played out with Mitchell being falsely accused by a bunch of prima donnas and Johan Ackermann taking over.2015, 2016 & 2017. Johan Ackermann.2018 - Swys de Bruyn.
Now, out of all of the above. Please continue to explain to us how in the blue blazes you arrive at the point where, in your words, "The dud coach who actually destroyed the Lions were LUDEKE........" , let alone dragging Meyer into the equation again.
I am actually surprised that you didn't drag in and blame Morne and Frans Steyn, Victor Matfield and Willem Alberts as well.
Hell = but you lot indeed are dumb beyond believe.
The Cats was just a scam to please the Cheetahs reps ion SARU. It worked for a while and got the help of the Cheetahs and Bulls to get rid of White. Did not work out - even though initially they got the help of the Watson gang. The next phase would have been to select Meyer as coach - but the Watsion gang and WP z nd other unions would not swallow that one and they voted in De Villiers.
So who was involved with the Cheetahs and the Lions - Ludeke. Who was involved with the Bulls - Meyer. That ii why the lot has to wait for 2012 and get Meyer in as National coach.
Both failures that ultimately damaged the Lions, Bulls and SA teams.
